@kWfart @rugedraw Javier, I'm behind the keyboard now so I'll post it for you.
Here's the list this morning:
1FT6W1EV1NWG04406-6-Jan-24.png

No programming took place on the 3rd, 4th, or 6th (I assume that's when the truck was in the shop). The only interaction with FDRS was on the 4th when a Network scan was run to check on available software updates and simply to reset some existing DTCs (errors). That's it. No other programming or updates took place.
Whoa, an IPMA update? Is this new?

Yes, it's part of the BC update rollout. In fact it's the biggest part.
Nice! I’ve been eagerly awaiting this to show up but left my FDRS laptop at my other place for the last two weeks. Hopefully it pushes OTA soon — the IPMA updates tend to take really long over FDRS right?

@HockeyJoe

GWM update 23-PU0503-CON-FX was sent to your truck about an hour ago. You need to start it to activate the OTA trigger.

Your OTA history is showing some struggles with recent OTA's. APIm OTA 23-PU0724-DOM-RS failed twice and th emost recent APIM update that partially installed was 4.2.2.

You were absolutely right, thanks for the heads up! I drive the truck for a bit, then set an update schedule for a half hour after I got home and it installed it successfully.

Has anyone tried applying the currently pending IPMA and related updates to see if it results in BC 1.3? It looks pretty close to what was sent out as Mach E update 7.0.0.

It will give you the BC stability improvements of BC 1.4. If you already have BC 1.2 or 1.3, it will improve BC functionality and reduce the random disengagement of BC.

If you are coming from BC 1.0, same thing, but it will not enable lane change assist, predictive speed, etc. Anyone coming from BC 1.0 will see a HUGE improvement in BC performance since 1.2 and 1.3 are both more stable than 1.0 respectively, so these vehicle already had BC stability improvements over BC 1.0.

good to know. I’m tempted to apply it but not looking forward to 3 hour updates.

what module is missing for full BC 1.0 to 1.4 functionality?

All the features for BC 1.4 are in the IPMA/PSCM updates, but Ford "hid" them inside the update.

My guess is that yet another IPMA update will be needed to add the config needed for the extra features of BC 1.4, as well as an APIM update to add the needed toggles for lane change assist, predictive speed, and lane repositioning.

The gurus over on the ICE forums have already figured out how to activate BC 1.4 with the existing IPMA/PSCM updates. However, the changes needed for this to work are not being publicly released by them for liability reasons. No one knows why Ford has not released 1.4 to anyone other than a few Mach E's in the EA program. It may be due to some safety concerns, so very few people have been let in on the "black market" BC 1.4. I think it works great, but whatever.

To anyone on BC 1.0 that can update the IPMA/PSCM and uses BC a lot, it is well worth doing. People on 1.2/1.3 will get stability improvements, but it will not be as obvious as it is to those coming from 1.0.

Hmm I really want to apply this now. How complicated is this update to apply? I saw some mentioning it requires both a regular flash and a PMI one and can take hours?

I’ve got a piggyback setup that can get me around 60 amps on the 12V battery but that’s about it.

60amp power supply should be enough. In my case, I did not have to run the PMI afterwards, but some people have come across an issue where the PMI had to be done afterwards. It will take 2.5-3 hours for the IPMA and the PSCM takes 10 minutes or so.

Yeah crap halfway through my update one of my 30A chargers blew a fuse and it was a bit of a pucker moment with just 30A, but I got through the update. It seemed like whenever voltage dropped to around 9V, I heard an electrical noise inside the truck and something kicked on that bumped it to 10-11V and then back down.

PSCM did need a PMI like Mike G mentioned for it to disappear from the update list. Other than that I didn't have any other faults or issues.

I am seeing this bug though where the 360 top down view appears to be undersized. The image itself shows correct alignment of the cameras and is otherwise correct, just somehow really small. Reverse lines are correctly drawing too. No DTCs. Not sure if this is an IPMA - APIM incompatibility that needs a future APIM update? I hope this isn't something that involves a PMI of IPMA....

This issue seems to be within the update itself. @ChrisCon reported the same thing when he did it to his truck here:

https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...programming-guide-using-fdrs.8249/post-360165

@MickeyAO Also reported this happening. I don't think that this is a change Ford wanted to execute as part of this update. You didn't do anything wrong and the update installed fine. There is no way to "fix" this because nothing is broken. Looks the error is on Ford's side.

@Mike G Did you apply the new IPMA update to your truck yet? Did this happen to yours, too?
