I just submitted the next installment for publication. Can't spill the beans here just yet, but I saw evidence it is flowing through our editorial process now, so probably posting in a day or so? Stand by!

I saw your post earlier (and the MT article) on the Lightning with the AeroX topper. I have been dabbling with aero improvements on my Lightning here in Chicago as well. I did a drafting video (on semis) on my tiny Youtube channel and then I am working on a follow-up video to see how open bed compares to tonneau cover compares to a rectangular camper shell.

I am wondering how the tests went on the long-termer Lightning with the AeroX topper. Can't wait to see it!

Hey everybody, MotorTrend's final installment in the AeroX saga is now live at:

https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/...ng-xlt-yearlong-review-update-9-aerodynamics/

Sadly, neither MotorTrend's road-trip-range testing, nor a drive from Detroit to Memphis and back were able to reveal a measurable energy savings, but the computer suggests the benefit of the AeroX cap is even greater than had been predicted, and we've outlined several potential reasons--extenuating circumstances and such--that may have prevented us from measuring the same improvement (heater use, defective airdam, etc.) Anyway, it was a fun project!

Really need to see this design tested on a track, side by side style. Same temperature and conditions with a control truck. I trust the computer model is on to something, but need to see some real-world results.
