Do you think Lightnings will start shipping again soon or do you think it will be other products that put Ford over the top?

It will be all of them. The Mach-E stop sale isn't going to go into the 4th quarter. All the vehicles currently held will be sold in days when they get their fix.

In addition to them... Actually, I should take delivery in September or October. I was being hopeful for other people.

Hold on everyone. This is a stop ship not a stop sale. I believe Ford can still sell just not give you your Mach E? Selling will continue. Maybe? Check the last paragraph in the article below. A lot of confusion today!

(NEXSTAR) – Ford has filed a recall notice with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, directing dealers to stop delivering nearly 49,000 Mustang Mach-E electric cars as they fix an issue with a battery component that could cause it to overheat.
Dealers can still sell the Mach-E to customers, Ford spokesperson Said Deep said, but they are pausing delivery of the new cars as the issue is addressed.

My understanding is that it is illegal for a new car dealership to sell a new car that is subject to a safety recall. I can remember a buddy of mine who was a service manager trying to get what seemed like 50 Ford Escorts reprogrammed so that the new car department would be able to sell them over a holiday weekend.

I also know that when I brought my wife’s car in for a recall, the Service Manager was truing to figure out how it made it through the service department without having the recall fix applied - because it was not allowed to happen. This is one of the reasons that Chevy dealers have been stuck with Chevy Bolts that, in some cases, they still cannot sell.
