Hello everyone,

Has anyone experienced moisture in their frunk lights before? I recently noticed it in one of mine and took it to the dealership. They ordered a replacement light, but it's currently back-ordered for a few months. While I'm not overly concerned about the situation, I am curious about the source of the moisture. Could it be a problem with the light or something in the front grill area? I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue and could verify that the dealership has ordered the correct replacement part. Thank you.

I had the same issue on both my inside Frunk lights. Dealer said there's a channel/gutter in there for water to come out when it goes in the top of the grill (not sure if I'm buying that or not). Told me the seals on both the lights were bad and replaced them. Warning though, because water was getting in behind the grill, water also corroded the connections on the button to operate the Frunk, so that stopped working with in hours of getting the lights replaced. I thought they forgot to connect the button and had to take it back. Make sure the dealer checks the connections on the back of the button, the corrosion was pretty obvious. The service manager took a picture with his phone and showed me, or I would include the picture. If you can, see if you can get them to order the switch/harness now so you're not having to make another trip. My dealer was great and replaced the parts while I waited, took less than an hour.

Thanks for the info! Greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I noticed the same problem today. I will email my dealership.

Is there a TSB for this?

Yeah this is super helpful thanks, explains why my frunk button is getting flaky.

Hi there, Scott. This frunk concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your F-150 Lightning. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

Just seeing this thread.

Yep, we too have seen this water issue off and on for quite a while too in one of our two frunk lights. Going to talk to the Dealer when we take it in for the 10K checkup in the next month or so.

Just this week my dealer received the light and we got it installed. We are about to hit the rainy season here. I will keep you posted on how the replacement goes.
