My Lightning production is complete but not yet being delivered - per Ford

I don’t want to believe it because it only took my ICE 2 weeks from built to delivery with bedliner in the middle of a pandemic and chip shortage …but….. I think you might be right

The only that gives me a little concern. A Mach-e guy said his was produced and sat in a lot waiting for a chip. But when the chips came in the guys fresh off the line got their cars before the guys that were parked in the lot. Though logistically I can see how that is easier for Ford.
lack of communication from Ford leads me to believe the chip shortage guys.

Very interested to hear your personal experiences driving the truck in everyday use and specialized cases like towing, anyone out there planning to tow a V-Nose trailer with a net weight around 4000 pounds would be very helpful to me, knowing the real world LIGHTNING performance, save all the R1T and TELSA comments for other threads I've already read about on three forums, I want to know what you "First Lightning" guys experience.

I imagine that it's all tied together, they don't want the trucks getting into customer's hands before the press embargo is lifted so they hold the trucks back. Since they're manufacturing them as fast as they can this creates a big backlog of stored trucks. That however has the happy (for Ford) consequence of a decent number of customers all getting their trucks in roughly the same timeframe (given distance shipped) which means a whole lot of social media impressions from happy/excited customers. From a marketing standpoint it's a pretty good plan. From a "hurry up and send me my truck!" standpoint it's less optimal.

Will do. My first road trip will be a 200-300 mile round trip through the Boise and Sawtooth mountains.

I wont post the bulletin. The rates are 4.9 to 14.9 depending on tier. No markup os allowed which is great.

Less than 1% is doing the hurry up and send me my truck. Everyone who isn't sitting here posting online is just going about life until their dealer contacts them.

I agree. Hopefully they will have some kind of incentive. The Options plan is a great product except for the rates.

Agreed, for our Mach-e we got a great rate too though - 1.4 percent.
