I don't recall where I read it, but the EPA test applies a "fudge factor" to the dyno results in an attempt bring it closer to reality. It's by no means perfect and that there are two different types of tests that the manufacturer can chose from complicates it even further. Would be nice to think we are comparing apples to apples.The funny thing about EPA tests is that they don't take ANY variables into effect, not even wind drag, because they're actually done INDOORS on a Dynamometer with things like the air conditioning turned off.
