Am I the only one unimpressed? The lane change seems overly aggressive and the slowing-speeding up-slowing-speeding up of the new curve assist is unsafe. Also still haven't fixed the issue of stopping right on someone's bumper and slamming on the brakes or acting like you're in the Indianapolis 500 if using the Predictive Speed Assist. Ford still has a long way to go to make this worth paying for.
I agree. IMO, the best part of the newer IPMA software is the improvement overall performance of BC and not the new features that come with it.

2024 Ford Lightning Lariat
Hi, I recently purchased a 2024 Lightning Lariat. I've updated everything with FDRS and did some programming with Forscan (the glare free lights are awesome). I wasn't sure if I would keep BlueCruise after the trial, since I don't do a lot of highway travel, but I decided to go ahead and do so as it is convenient on those occasional situations.

So how do I tell if I have the latest version? Or could someone send me the coding required to get it? I understand and agree not to share online.

Here's a pic of my options, so maybe this is already the latest version there is?

Thanks.

24's came with 1.2 (lane change/in-lange repositioning) and haven't seen any reports of them receiving anything newer

I am not sure if the newer IPMA software has been released for 2024+ trucks yet. If when you did your updates, you updated the IPMA, then it is possible that you upgraded to BC 1.4 instead of 1.2. However, if you did not update the IPMA with FDRS, then you are still on BC 1.2.

I don't honestly recall if I had to do an IPMA update or not as it's been a few weeks. I did 13 or 14 updates, so it's quite possible. Sorry for my ignorance, but how do I tell if I have the upgraded version?

Thanks.

If you still have access to FDRS, you can look at your session history. It will tell you exactly what you updated and the time you did it. You can also look to see what the calibration strategy is of the version currently installed. @rugedraw is the expert here. Seems like strategy -BBC is associated with BC 1.4.

Also suggest you keep better records of what you did going forward! I "printed" the FDRS session history (expanded all the update log entries) to a PDF and saved on my PC. And for FORScan make sure you make a backup and what your before and after values are (screenshots work here).

Easiest way would be to just message me the VIN. If you have FORScan, you can plug in and check the software strategy the IPMA is on by clicking on module details.

Got your message, but I will respond here for the sake of the info being out here. When you updated with FDRS on 1/17, you did not update the IPMA. Your IPMA is on the BAE strategy which is the same software the Mach E's are getting with BC 1.3. So, while Ford claims the 2024 Lightnings are shipping with BC 1.2, the software your truck has is 1.3 version.

So regardless of what Ford advertises, I would say you have 1.3 and not 1.2.

Thanks so much for the information!

So if I'm understanding this correctly, I just need to wait until the IPMA pushes an update to BBC and then I can move on to BC 1.4. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Correct. You will not see any new features; just maybe a slight improvement to BC in terms of lane centering/keeping and overall performance to where it won't dis-engage as often.
