There’s a new tire offered by Toyo. It’s not the E or SL rated tire. This one is the same spec as the OEM tire that comes on the vehicle. Same tire pressure too. This tire is new and hard to find. If you see any out there and want to try them, scoop them up and have your dealer mount and balance. Right now, there are 4 left on Tire Rack.

Unlike the E rated tire, this 116 T XL offers a smooth ride with the extra traction. About a 5% reduction in range and will keep monitoring. These eat snow and this makes the truck feel like an absolute tank. If anyone else is running these, shout! Interested in hearing about your experience.

Interested in these. The price is borderline nauseating. The Toyo’s look neat, but the Rivian spec Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT is $573 less per set. Maybe I need to search marketplace for some Rivian take offs.

It’s crazy that that cost more than K03 tires. Like come on

I didn’t get those. That’s the E load for those looking to rock crawl. Stiffer sidewall etc. 116T XL is a direct replacement for the OEMs. Light off-roading. Same ride. Same PSI. You are swapping the high efficiency for all terrain tread. E tire reduces range 10-15%. 116T XL about 5%.

I'm looking to get these for my next set. For additional efficiency (and vanity purposes) I'm going with the lightweight Venomrex wheels. Good looking combo while hopefully maintaining efficiency. This combination will put the weight down to about 72 lbs a set vice 79ish with the OEM setup.

This price is for the 123 load rated tire not the 116. That one is $379.22

The XL didn’t come up when I clicked the box for EV tuned tires. So only $473 more per set, still nauseating. I want them, but it’s a hard pill to swallow. The other thing is that I have the C load rated 285/75R17 non EV version on my 2021 Bronco, they really aren’t great in the wet. Maybe the extra weight of the Lightning and the EV compound will make them better. The Lightning is more stable than the Bronco by design.

I’ve got the Toyo tires, just waiting for the Vorsteiner wheels to arrive to mount them.

With this 116T XL version of the tire, it’s a direct replacement of the OEM tire. With that, you keep the same TPMS and same PSI of 42.
42 psi?! Why is everything I see say 35psi? My OEM hancook tires wore horribly on the outside edges of the tread... maybe being underinflated didn't help?

The Hankook DynaPro's that came on the 23's are 36psi. I've always kept them inflate between 36 and 40psi, and my outer edges are gone also. Seems a common problem with these tires, or the alignment from the factory on the truck was bad. I'm at 35k miles right now with inspection due next month. They should pass but won't have much life on them after that.

I have the same toyo AT III EV tires. I paid $368 each. I love the look and feel of them. I also lost maybe 5% range and increased road noise in the cabin, but not bad. I am use to it already.

Just had it out in the snow and it performed well. I don't have a picture of it in the snow though.

My toyo tires are at 37 cold. Should I lower it for the snow?
