I just went outside to observe my truck and it sounds like a swarm of bees is underneath of it.

Is this a normal part of the upgrade process? I have never noticed it before
normal. And lol, I had to look up what a pocket pod mini is but looks like that might be cheaper. Mongoose I was referring to is used with FDRS to update modules instead of waiting on Ford's finicky OTA process. Doesn't charging the hvb charge the 12v? Mine was off the charger since Sunday and noticed the 12v was reporting about 64% in CarScanner so I plugged it in Friday and it reported a 100% charge on the 12v when I checked this morning. Seems like a big drop in a few days but has been cold this week. I've had the battery sensor replaced so I'm wondering if I just have a bad battery.
The 12V battery only actively is charging while the truck is on, or the truck is actively charging (not just the cable plugged in). For instance if you have the FCSP charging at 19kW, you actually don't get a good charge on your 12V battery sometimes, because once you hit your charge limit it also stops charging the 12V battery.

The best way is to leave the truck on for like 8 hours (turn off lights, radio, AC, etc.), or plug in a level 1 charger overnight, or set the charge rate really low if you have an adjustable level 2 charger. Those 3 things work great for getting the 12V SOC up high.

I have never noticed the sound on any other update, though this is the first "Major" I have received. (If we consider 1.4 major)

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA... I thought you were joking that you downgraded your EV to an EV Mongoose Bike... LOL....

I live in a small town and the local auto shop has said I could swing by and use their stuff and this was as close as I was to taking them up on it so I didn't have to purchase the other equipment. Purchasing ForScan was easy and I already had the OBDscanner

If you do not, unplug the negative cable off your 12v battery and wait 20 minutes before reconnecting to force reset the modules. Then start the truck and check for updates to see if it'll download the files.
After reconnecting the cable is there anything special that needs to be done to get the frunk to close? Do we just push the button to close or manually close and then push button to open it normally?

This is common after unplugging your 12 V battery. You just manually pull it down and get it closed and it should latch then it should work properly after that.

Thanks, I'm going to give it a try. Going on 2 weeks with the stuck update.

Does the screen say "not completed" or is the OTA trigger still active and failing to install?

Not completed. I think it initially attempted when my LVB charge state wasn't that high.
That sucks.....that means the OTA failed....it is not stuck. There's nothing you can do at this point but wait for it to be resent.

Bummer. Thanks for the clarification though I misunderstood that the fix was for failure not stuck.
