I reserved within an hour of the broadcast being over and was confirmed spot number 16 there. I’m sure if you jumped to a different dealer you would move up, but they seem like a great dealership to work with so I am staying put.

Who at Chapman was able to confirm that for you? I emailed (only yesterday, to be fair) the 'Business Development Team Lead' who responded to my emails back when I transferred my reservation to them but haven't heard anything back yet.

I had my reservation in about 30s after the livestream started so if you're 16 I hope to be in the top 5 or so. I'd really like to hear from Chapman though to confirm that they are going to use that order.

Is it an issue if the reservation is under a different name vs who will be purchasing? For example my wife reserved one but it's for her father (same last name). That a problem?

Nothing is final until you are sitting with dealer financing and writing up your purchase contract. So in short, no. You’re fine.

I called the sales manager at Huntley Ford (Illinois) and got no where. Wouldn’t give me what spot I’m in there with my reservation and tried saying they have no word from Ford about updates. I advised them about the announce they received one December 8th and they then admitted they got that but wouldn’t go further.
Communication has been the worst with this place, I’d be ok if they said your dead last and won’t get one until 2024 but they are terrible with information.

I transferred from Sacramento ,Ca. to Carson City, NV and I did not get put in back of the line. My reservation time stamp after transferring got me #4 or #5 in line. That’s what I was told today.

I’m in the same boat. I reserved two, one for me and my father. I’m hoping we can do the paperwork in his name and one in my name, even though both reservations are in my name.

I contacted Ashlie with the Sales team and she confirmed they are not prioritizing customers and working solely based on order timestamp. My confirmation is 3min after the livestream started (9:33pm) and I am #4 in line.

y’all probably don’t want to wait around though. I’ve heard the hybrid is great and you should wait for the 2025 Lightning to really get the car you want… ?

Here is a new one for you.

Yesterday my dealership was sold and Ford refunded my $100 but said my reservation would not be affected.

The new dealer said everything was OK but could not say more but Stand By.

If you were previously told you are 9th on their list, then you are ninth on their list. The only way that would change is if they made a customer a "priority" to move up in line to the front.

OR if someone with an earlier reservation moves their reservation to that dealer.

If you have the very first reservation from the moment reservations opened, then if you move to a new dealer, you'll be at the front of their line, not the back.

communication has been fine. It is the impatience of folks here.
Ford said orders will start in fall and deliveries in spring. Everything else has been speculation including hoopla about Oct date.
Now, they have communicated to the dealers that order banks will open in Jan.
