I've never done a drag race, its on my bucket list. Never would have guessed a pickup might be my vehicle of choice 😁

For some perspective, what is respectable reaction time for a novice?
Anything under one second.

People kept asking me if I moded the truck or it was out of the box that fast.
Lariat ER: I ran with the summer stock tires this time traction was better.

I always get a kick out of these kinds of races.

I wonder if ICE sports car drivers are still surprised when a 7 thousand pound full sized truck springs ahead of them.

I know they love the roar of their engines, but frankly, I just love how quiet an EV rides.
To your comment on weight, they should have seen this before. There are plenty of off the shelf diesel trucks that weigh North of 7 k lbs., with custom tunes, that can blow the doors off of lightnings. Easy to get them in the 11's before you need to swap injectors and exhaust.

I just wanted to point it out for other newbies wanting to experience a formal drag race, {one & done}, we all learn through these little mistakes.
