Once again Oct '23 build XLT ER... Installed around 4 pm today.

Some things I noticed. Two updates ago the software update screen started loading extra fast in comparison to prior that update... ( You know when you press the update button and it shows what the last update was.)

Right before the ...1.0 version of this update, the charging station app/map would give a connection error but when I closed that prompt it was still showing available charging places BUT it was not showing any of the fast DC sites that I knew were within a mile of my location. The ...1.0 version of this removed the connection error pop up and everything is correct for the location where I am at, either when driving or stopped. I know the last update was to allow you to search while driving.

Also two software updates ago the download bell icon at the top of the screen has disappeared. And after the ....1.0 version of this update that update now button has completely disappeared off the software update screen.

Same here, Oct 23 build XLT ER, got this update today.

Have others had their charge routines upended when a software update occurs? It happened when I got the 6.8, 6.14 (whatever update types those were), and a few days ago with the 10.1.0, and today with the 10.1.1: when I pull into the garage and plug in, the charger (not a Ford charger, it's a Clipper Creek 32A that I've had for about 4 years, it doesn't have wifi connection etc) starts for about 2 seconds then stops... and that's how I know I got a software update. I pull up the app and the status is "waiting to charge" and a couple times hitting start on the app will start it, and other times I have to pull the charge cord handle out and plug it back in a few times in concert with clicking the start button on the app, and finally it will start charging... and then after that things are fine.

I guess something like that might be expected if the truck was set for delayed charging of some sort, but my electricity costs the same 24/7 so it has NEVER had any charging schedule set up.

It's frustrating that this has now occurred several times, just wondering if it also happens to others?

It's not unusual for the charging and departure time schemes to get screwed up after an OTA has posted, I'm reading of several posts over the past week on that theme.

You could try deleting them and building a fresh set of rules.

That's the odd thing - I don't have any departure times set, never have had any set... yet the updates revert the behavior to "waiting to charge" for unknown reason.

That is the message for when there is a time restricted charging scheme set on your truck and the EVSE cord is plugged in with energy available but not currently flowing due to the time restriction.

If you have charging schemes delete everything and rebuild the rules.

It's never been set to anything other than anytime/anytime (screenshot below)... I guess I can delete the home location (if it will let me) and let it get created again and see if that helps.

Yes, but do it in the truck on your Sync screen charging control panel.

Make sure you are unplugged first.

Delete the location.

Plug in, hopefully it starts charging and you can add a brand new "Home" location scheme.

If it doesn't let you add the Home location, take the truck for a spin, return to parking / charging spot, plug in again & commence creating the new scheme, no hour limits but do adjust to your prefered SOC 80/85/90 %

Once it's all fixed look at the results in Ford Pass Energy tab.

I don’t see any other posts about the reversion to 12 hour time with this update. Drives me crazy that every morning the damn clock reports as being in 24 hour mode but every time I get in the truck afternoon it reverts to 12 hour time and I have to select 24 hour mode again. It’s back to the 4.x all over again or whatever it was. It’s these small things that drive me crazy

Mine only happens when I get an update. But drives me nuts. Hopefully they can fix it eventually, LOL

Easter egg... I had the dreaded, for many months, android phone Bluetooth microphone issue that for any call incoming or outgoing was a highly static crunchy metallic sound. The work around was you had to tap the phone icon on the infotainment system to send the call back to phone then tap again to send it back to the head unit.

Since this update I get a no phone connected pop up screen then it immediately automatically tries again and then connects. No longer an issue. Odd fix but it works. LMAO.
