Ozone/Burning plastic smell when running heater after update

So last night I received the Window Module update. This morning when I went to drive the truck and turned on the heat, I smelled an ozone or burning plastic smell when running the heat. Also all of my radio presets were reset as well which was odd. Not sure if that was related to the update or not.

Haven't any issues like this before the update last night. Not sure if they are related or not, but it does seem odd that they would happen at the same time.

Has anyone else had any issues like this?

In the early days these updates would clear my presets. But not lately. I have a 2022 Lariat like you and this update did not clear presets. It WILL switch to the AM band and the lowest station. But presets are still there. If you use profiles, make sure it didn't change to Guest profile. Just press the memory button you use.

I guess they want the OTA experience to be just like a dealer visit, i.e., it resets a bunch of your stuff.

I think there was an OTA update that fixed presets being lost during an OTA update.

That window bounce update cause my truck to skip a charge start time that had been preset...grrr!

I haven't run the heater since the update, but will have try that - fingers crossed no smell.

I don't use the radio so no presets there to worry about for me (I use an SSD formatted in exFAT that has the music I want that I plug into the data USB port when I want to listen).

Always something with computers with wheels.

All my presets and settings got wiped after this window module update. I can always tell when an update does this because the stupid audio compensation setting gets turned back on

Yes, true here too.

Besides omitting the charge session I had scheduled for over night, the 'calm screen' option for the dash display was unchecked in the options menu and I had to check it in the menu to get the calm screen back...so annoying.
