Parking sensor update

Took the truck into the dealer for the parking sensor update. I also mentioned the rear parking sensors were also malfunctioning with the “parking sensor blocked” on the driver screen when backing up! Got the truck after the update and had a number of issues (10) .
Back to the shop today with the 10 items along with the steering nut recall.

1 Cannot unlock or lock the truck with any door handle except for the drivers door.
2. Backup sensors “parking sensors blocked” issue again.
3. Difficulty connecting Apple play, intermittent connections
4. Drivers seat belt notification works intermittently
5. The drivers seat shifts slightly side to side when rounding a corner
6. Error message; “Drive truck to reestablish connection in battery saver mode”. Get this at least once per week
7. AM radio static whine on the radio when accelerating
8. Courtesy lights no longer turn on when approaching the truck
9. Wireless charger does not appear to be working
10. Recall for the steering nut

Hopefully the shop can get it all repaired and working correctly! I really love this truck!

Get your LVB checked... last CSP I had done drained the 12v.. one thing I noticed was that only the driver door would unlock with the door handle... a lot of the other symptoms match a LVB problem.

I have my dealership ordering a replacement tailgate panel, which was broken when they did the rear light bar replacement. I mentioned I had the Front Parking Aid Sensor CSP 24B56, and would like to have it done with the tailgate panel replacement. The Service Advisor warned, "Like Mama said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it." I am sitting this CSP out unless there is a failure.

I took my Lightning in for the 10,000 mile checkup and to get the 24B56 and 24P24 CSPs performed. Originally they expected to be finished the same day, but ran into some issues and had to contact the Service Hotline. I heard from the Service Advisor this afternoon who said that the Hotline Engineers got back to them late this afternoon and their recommendation to resolve the issue didn't work. They want to keep my truck longer and wait for the engineers to get back to them on things to try.

The description of the problem wasn't totally clear, but the advisor mentioned that while the 24B56 CSP had been applied, the system (FDRS?) is not showing it as being installed. I told them of the script issue that @MikeG has posted about this but am not clear if they tried what he suggested (or if that is actually the problem they are seeing).

I was nervous about having this CSP done with all that I've read here about bad outcomes, but figured it needs to be done before it expires later this year, so went forward with it. The dealer provided me a loaner, so I'm pleased with that part of the process.

Hopefully the engineers will get to the solution for the issue quickly...

I'm approaching 10,000 miles, have the nut issue and parking sensor CSP. I've been avoiding the CSP update because of experiences like yours...when I go in for recall I'm going to have to be fairly direct they NOT DO THE CSP...haven't had any issues with parking sensors...yet....also haven't received any OTA updates since November (about the time CSP was issued). Some have said you don't receive OTA's with open CSP others have said that's not true...🤷‍♂️

Some have said you don't receive OTA's with open CSP others have said that's not true...🤷‍♂️
I've receive several updates while the CSP-24B56 has been open, I'll continue waiting until Spring/Summer.

Grrrrrreat. Now I’m not sure if I want to get my CSP done.
