It is newer not sure about the backwards compatibility. I was going to try it in mine but as of now the cost is too high. its 4 times more than the 21 ipma.Ok good to know

yes. As of NOW the 21 IPMA had no update to the capability of the 21.5so the newer trucks have a physically upgraded ipma? Not just software?
