Oh wow! Didn’t realize the 80-amp chargers were so expensive. I guess my only fear is that I could charge other EVs, but it seems like it would work as long as the other ev has CCS connector?
I was just thinking that as well. I would THINK that's true but I haven't heard of 1 person testing it on another EV yet.

I have a 64 amp ClipperCreek unit - it is about half the price of their 80 amp unit, comes with a better warranty, and is smaller/lighter. It does charge a bit slower, but not enough to matter in daily operation.

Does anyone have any idea on when these will be available through the ford website? Looking to purchase an additional one for my office.

An EVSE is an EVSE… it will give as much amperage as the car can take. Remember it’s not the EVSE that charges as it just supplies the power, it’s the vehicle that does since it has a OBC (on board charger) in the car. So 80A is great, but the car itself will be limited to the OBC.

For example, I use a 40A OpenEVSE for our Chevy Bolt, but it only takes 33A, which is its maximum.
