That's all you have to do. Plug it in, and tell that specific charger in the app to charge.

Correct. Tesla app will then ask you to choose the specific charger stand. Then Tesla app shows you how to connect adapter to the Tesla NACS end, and then tells you to plug into the truck.

On my first attempt I plugged into the truck first and then went through the Tesla app. Did not work. So I unplugged everything and started over. Did step by step in the Tesla app and worked just fine.

My truck has not been updated yet with the Tesla Plug & Charge update, so I have to use Tesla app to make it work.

No - activate the charger you're using from the Tesla app, *then* plug into the truck. The other way may work but ensuring the charger is activated before you plug in will be more reliable.

Just received my adapter yesterday, haven’t been able to try it yet as my truck is in the shop. I highly recommend NOT hitting a dear while you’re traveling 45 miles an hour. It’s amazing how many parts are behind the front bumper and almost all were damaged.

Thank you for this thread. Got my A2Z adapter 2 days ago. Had my first attempt to use it and failed. Read this thread and activating first with thr Tesla app did the trick. Thank you.

Loved the double-takes from the Tesla drivers.

Took it for a demo charge tonight. I have the plug and charge update and it worked flawlessly. I didn't have any difficulty seating the NACS into the adapter either. Overall pretty easy experience.

I just received an A2Z adapter which I order several weeks ago. But after spending 2 hrs. trying several Tesla stations at 4 different locations near me all I get "failed due to charge station fault".

My wife owns also own an older Tesla S and we have never had a problem charging. I have registered the Lighting on the Tesla App, told the app that I had an adapter and registered my Lighting on the Tesla App. but to no avail. Yes, I did lock the charging cable to the adapter and everything seems to lock into place but very frustrating!!!!! Either I am doing something wrong or the A2Z adapter is bad? Any ideas?

UPDATE:
Problem solved. The locking mechanism was very very tight, not going into the full lock position.

Thanks to Amir from A2Z for taking time on a Saturday to trouble shoot the problem. As I use the lock more it seems to work great.

Did you ever get a notification it shipped? I ordered a month after you and have mine already. Makes me think maybe one was sent to you and lost in transit. Customs seems to beat them up, my box was pretty busted but the case inside was fine.

I got my A2Z in 3 weeks.

OTOH Lectron I am still waiting - 5 weeks now and nothing.

We don’t think you ordered from us, all orders up to the 17th of March have been shipped today. We are now doing the 18th to the 25th of March orders. Let us know if you ordered from A2Z EV, we’ll take a look at it, otherwise it is not us.
