Remember what we started a year ago.....NACS Adapter-geddon

Wow. It's been a year since we first placed orders with Ford for their NACS Fast charger adapters.

It started on Leap Day Feb 29th, so I might be celebrating a day early, but if I waited until tomorrow (March 1st) I would be a day late.

Who could have imagined the delays, the excitement, and the thousands of posts that got generated on this one topic.

Hopefully most everyone has received their adapter by now and we can put that topic to well deserved rest.

I still remember the day the news broke and ordering the adapter went live. I was on cruise sitting back in Labadee, pounding down the drinks under a palm tree and just kept hitting refresh until it went through. Good times!

According to the various “I got mine threads”, they have delivered way past your order number and date. Last I saw was 140,000+

I remember it well, but not ro good reasons.

I already had a NACS adapter, and thought I could get to a local charging station to test it out. So I went for a drive to try and drain the battery a little. Alas, it was snowing hard up the mountain from my house (I'm at 850 feet and it was just rain, but higher up it was ice - then snow). I hit a patch of sheet ice under fresh snow on a downhill at about 20 mph. The truck wouldn't stop, hit the power line on the corner and pulled a power cable on top.

The guide wire got caught around the side step and pulled the step off, sliced the rear door, and pulled the power cable on top. It was live when I jumped out.

I had *better days*

But hey, I walked away, and the truck saved my life. AndI was able to get another one
