I am getting updates now. this is like #6. It's just my latest. I don't see any posts on it. anybody else get this one?

Guess we can expect this thread to have a very, very limited lifespan then.

Hadn't ever thought about the interaction between EA and the availability of updates via FDRS. I guess they must have some way to gate them there like they do for the OTA process.

Could? Yes. If you applied all updates with FDRS, then you would get no OTA's until something new comes out. FDRS supersedes the OTA process.
