Purchased a 2024 Lightning Lariat. I saw the posts regarding the rear view mirror mod/change...I don't like the reach and I really don't like touching my rear view mirror.
So decided to go this route.
If you have a lighted mirror in your visor its plug and play.
Part number for black: # JL3Z1504105ZC
This is for a truck with a sunroof. I searched for a 2023 F150 visor and just narrowed it down to a left side with sunroof, black, with remote.
Pry the trim cover off the bracket where it connects to the ceiling
Used a 7MM socket to remove screw
visor assembly swings toward driver and towards ceiling to get anchor out. When doing this step, swing visor back to normal location but fold down as if the sun was in your eyes and it will rotate out.
un plug and you are free.
As you can see the visors are identical.
I plugged in the new visor and went the reverse order and it worked perfectly!
Good luck!

Thanks for this. I've been looking in online catalogs since I took delivery Oct. 1st and have been unable to come up with the correct part number. Maybe we can get with a dealer that has presence here on the Forum and get some kind of group buy with special pricing. I'm in for one!

Where was the homelink control located on the 22-23 models? I can't find a single left visor in the catalog that lists "garage door opener" for a 22-23 Lightning Lariat or Platinum.

You have to look at ICE F150’s

I had read that the 22 & 23 Lightnings had the "HomeLink" feature, and that it was dropped for 2024. Are you saying there's never been any Lightning with this from the start?

HomeLink was dropped in 2024.
My 2022 Lariat has visor HomeLink (referred to in the order guide as "universal garage door opener")

That's what I had read previously. But if you look at the Ford parts catalog for 22 & 23 year models there's no mention of any left visor for either the Lariat or Platinum having the feature.

When I go to Ford Parts Online and search visors, the Lightning is not listed as a model, just F-150. I think that is what Paul was trying to tell you. This is a shared part with the ICE trucks.

I entered my VIN and I get three choices. Two are left side. One tan, one black. All are F-150, BEV version aka Lightning. Includes Universal Garage Door Opener.
Here's the black. See highlighted text below.

Anyone know if the shape and dimensions of the previous series 2017-2020 F-150's with sunroof are the same as the 2021-2024? I can get L&R gray ones for a 2020 for less than the 2022-2023 left side black alone.

Has anybody here purchased the homelink module/button kit and installed them in your existing visor?

Update: I found a source that had some new OEM Ford/Lincoln left (driver's side) black sun visors that were in plastic bags instead of a Ford labeled box with some kind of Ford ID numbers on the bags that didn't match any Ford part number. But they looked to be the same in dimensions and the electrical connector as well. Lighted vanity mirror with the Garage Door Opener buttons. So I bought the 3 of these visors they had and took a chance. Looks exactly the same as my stock visor except has the garage door switch and bezel. Easy swap for my factory Lariat visor that just had the lighted vanity mirror. (Just like the OP's steps on post #1) The only difficult part was getting the switches programed, which has been my experience on 3 prior vehicles we've had with the Homelink factory feature so no big surprise. You can find the recommended procedure for your specific garage door or gate opener on Homelink's support site, and have patience because it will probably take you a few attempts before you get it right. So I now have the 3 buttons working for my Gated area's entrance gate, and my 2 "rolling code" Chamberlain garage door openers.

For anyone who would like to add this feature to your 2024 Lariat or Platinum, I have 2 of these visors listed over in the Market Forum.
