Ford F-150 Lightning Tail light deformation? IMG_2125

please tell me if I am just seeing things or if I should be bringing my truck into dealer. Just noticed this. First photo is a reference from drivers side that looks fine. Passenger side looks like there is apoxy squishing out the seal and the black line at the rope is not straight more wavy on the inside. I just know the price of these lights and if there is an issue I want it taken care of while still on warranty.

thanks

Hmmm... I'd open the tailgate, remove the two (2) screws that secure the taillight, pull the taillight out off its single bayonet locator pin, and then check both mating surfaces, on the truck and on the taillight... and do the same on the other side to compare.

Doctors, dentists and vets are trained to compare alike healthy and unhealthy visible body components on the patient to get a better comparo... perhaps the same technique used on these taillight mating surfaces will give clues.

lol just bought my eye one day. Iā€™ll probably just monitor for water intrusion. These lights are way too pricey!

I think Iā€™m gonna monitor. I donā€™t really want to mess with it while still on warranty

Just keep an eye out for water getting in. If you go to the dealer they likely wonā€™t replace and itā€™ll be a waste of your time. They might even charge a diag fee.

Mine had something similar. It turned out to be overspray from coating the bed. They remove the bed lights and the coating got on the lights from there. I took my lights off and cleaned of the coating.
