I had the same thing happen to me this morning after not driving the truck for 2 days, but plugged in. I tried to remote start, and it tried to start (lights flashed), beep, and then repeat. This happen for 3 times in a row. I tried via my phone, and Alexa... still the same issue. I also condition the truck every day at 8AM. So I went outside and tried to start the truck, and it started without any issues.

Around 20 minutes later, I just tried again to remote start it, and it was successful. So it could be a sleep mode of some sort, or a battery issue.

Lately, I've noticed an odd behaviour with remote climate start, it's initializing with double the value of my base line time limit, ie. if I had set a ten minute limit previously on the sync screen, then the next day or hours later ask for a remote start, the truck does start but will run to xx:xx time, a full 20 minutes, the same happens with 15 minute base having a run until value 30 minutes long.

So, if you had a departure timed start, that might also run the full length 2x the limit, Ford has programed a max of 2 times we can use remote or departure timed session before there is a Key ON / RUN / Drive action, then the limiter resets.

Jumping in on this thread. Today, its 8 degrees in the balmy northeast, a perfect day to pre heat up the lightning so I can excavate it from the snowfall, then drive it all warmed up.

While I appreciate that Ford has given us on-demand remote heat control, instead of the abysmal scheduling function they gave us originally, its only interesting if it actually works.

Here's what I got this morning when I tried..... Tried about 10 times. So basically useless.

Doesn't do this with the Mach E though

Yup, you only get 2 remote requests per Key On / Run cycle.
Note the issues I posted above can impact this to ONE shot.

Thanks Tman!

I my case this frigid morning, I had only heated for 1 cycle. When I went to push the extend button, I got the failure message. And it then failed every other time I tried to run another cycle.

I just never understand why they put these goofy artificial limits in the software. Who cares if I want to heat up the car 30 times? its my car...

This is especially true if is plugged in.
