Of all the frustrating things that happen with the frunk has anyone else experienced the opening via the exterior button shutting off remote start?

From the owners manual 2023 p. 146:

Remote start does not work under the
following conditions:
• The alarm horn is sounding.
• The hood is open.

I swear the engineers at Ford didn’t think from a real world perspective how the drunk would be used… very frustrating. Thanks for sharing.

It's a carryover from the ice vehicles. There could possibly be someone working in the underhood area. I agree, not really a concern with the frunk.

I agree this is a real annoying issue. I started my truck while checking out at Target so it be nice and cool when I got in. When I got to the truck I opened the frunk with the remote and the truck turned off. I totally understand the logic of the carryover from an ICE vehicle from a safety standpoint but it has no business on the Lightning. Also on an ICE truck if it was already running and you open the hood would it turn off? I totally get the safety risk of remote starting and not knowing is someone is working on the engine but where is the safety risk of opening the hood on an already running vehicle? How hard of a software update could this really be?
