Yeah. I got one of the new ones today that looks like what Lectron has been selling. It's MUCH beefier and heavier than the Tesla-made adapter it's replacing.

"Ford still can’t figure out supply chain management"?

I gather you've never tried to get a Tesla repaired. I damaged the front bumper of a Tesla Model S and it spent about six months in the shop waIting for parts. My wife damaged the front bumper of our Lighting and I think the shop got all the parts it needed the day after asking for them. The Tesla repair also cost about 3 times as much. The six-month delay was a bit unusual but all body repair work on Teslas is insanely expensive.

Oh, and I think Tesla made the adapters that Ford is replacing.

By and large, Tesla has amateurish management, very much including supply-chain management, and Ford is a much better-run company. I'm glad Ford handled this recall as well as it did. I'm sure Tesla would have done worse.

Nope, born and raised in Michigan so I’m buying Big 3 machines for better or worse. And then we turn around and complain about it to our neighbors who work for them

On the one hand, I’m happy I got my replacement at the end of December… but on the other, I wish I had got it a week later so I could have the new version instead of Tesla

Received the replacement today for my recalled Mach-E adapter that I kept when I traded the Mach-E for the Lightning. Order #5401 placed on 2/29/24. It's the new Lectron style.

10 weeks after the deadline to update your address for the replacement, there's still no word on my replacement adapter.

18 Oct 2024: "Ford will supply a replacement adapter in the coming weeks"​

Months later, nothing. What a mess.

11 weeks after the deadline to update your address, they finally sent me a replacement.

Received replacement adapter (order# 91005131) that was supposed to have shipped Jan-7-2025, but for some reason never did.

After several phone calls with FedEx and the Parts and Accessories group at Ford and a few DM’s with @Ford Motor Company It actually did ship on Jan-16–2024 and arrived today.

Thanks to Brian, with Ford Motor Company, for listening to an old man’s rants and working to resolve the issue.
