I have a lariat build date of late May. My dealer said bed liner was unavailable when I tried to add that to my order. Wouldn’t hurt to ask.

What specific cover and mat do you prefer?
I have an EXtang Solid fold cover on my 2011 Silverado, and have been very happy with it. It is a little high profile but comes off easily when I need the full bed and is strong enough to walk on. The bed mat is a Husky heavy duty and I will likely get the same thing.

I prefer the hard tri-fold Tonneau as well. I have a Ford branded one that came on my Raptor that I intend to reuse (it is flexible enough to cover the bed difference between Gen 13 and Gen 14 as far as I can tell).

For the mat, I really like the rubber one from Ford - I have used them in the past and been very happy. Logo is a nice plus too.

Not sure how much the material cost is, but I bet you'd be well over 50% once you factor in your time for the whole project (prep & spray). Also, check to see if you need a special applicator to apply the Liner material itself. A couple hundred more would be worth the warranty and guarantee it gets done right!
Not promoting DIY, but I searched and it is pretty easy DIY job. With new truck you really don't need to prepare, just tape some coverings.

As for the time required, unless you hire someone to come to your house to spray, it will still take at least half day.

I've been back and forth in my mind between Line-X and a mat about 1000x.

As I get closer to my build date, I will talk to my dealer about what they have on offer, including tonneau options. Since the dealer is no ADM, I feel obligated to give them a few extra dollars as a thank you. I likely would've added these options when I placed my order, but I was too concerned for order delays and kept things as close to the standard options as possible.

FM dealer. 2500.00 for nothing. Seriously, THE BEST THING about Tesla is the no dealers.

Does no one else besides me prefer a bed mat to the bed liner? My Raptor is the first truck I have that has a liner (factory as far as I can tell) and I really don't like it. It is much slicker than the mat and stuff just slides around in the back.

Just going for the mat (with tonneau cover) for my Lightning - will order it directly from the dealer to keep it out of the purchase transaction.
I’m going with BedRug. I installed it on my last F-150 and I absolutely love it. You can vacuum it or hose it off and it’s padded so it’s soft on your knees if you crawl in the bed.

This time, I’m debating whether I’ll just get the mat vs the whole bed. I had the whole bed last time and maybe that’s overkill for me.

One thing we should all keep in mind is that all F-150 beds are ALUMINUM, which means they will never rust, so the protection is less important than it used to be.

I’ve got that one on my radar too.

That’s exactly the one I bought for my last F-150. I absolutely LOVE it.

The rug is soft, yet super tough and it keeps things from moving around. It also makes it a bit quieter if you have stuff back there that might shift.
X2 on the Bed Rug. I have the Bed Rug XL mat in my current F150. Did not want the full cover Bed Rug that goes up the sice. Probably just going to get the mat for the Lightning.

I currently have a tri-fold Ford hard cover, but since the Lightning has a frunk, I think I am going to forego a bed cover and see how that works out.

No way I would risk a delay. Are you near any line-x installers?

Just keep in mind that the cover isn't just to keep things inside, but it actually helps aerodynamics, giving you better fuel economy.

Do we know that is still true for the Lightning? Just asking, this will be my first real truck.
