How do I track my Tesla charging adapter that I ordered through the Ford app when I bought my new lightning a couple weeks ago?

If you sign into your Ford.com account and go to the dashboard, you should see a link, which will provide the MONTH they expect to ship it. It will be shipped via FedEx once shipped, so if you have FedEx tracking turned on, it will notify you. Ford also MAY send an email when it ships.

How do I track my Tesla charging adapter that I ordered through the Ford app when I bought my new lightning a couple weeks ago?

Easiest way I have found is to go to the email account that you registered. Then search for Ford adapter.

You want the find the ‘your fast charger is reserved’ email. You will a blue ‘check order status’ button. Click that, sign in, & you will get your approximate arrival time. Mine is October.

Before, I would go into the Ford account and see it clearly. Something changed so now this is the best way that works for me.

I ordered my adapter on the first day it was offered in February. It was "rushed" to me this week, taking just over 6 months. Yours should ship any day now...Of course, Ford may be shipping paid adapters prior to the free ones promised to early adopters. Good luck!

Login to Ford.com (not for pass app)
Go to “my account” and you’ll see a status button for the adapter. It’s not a tracking number until it ships. It will be an estimated arrival month until then.

I bought my Lightning in August. I believe my dealer told me that by making my Blue Oval account I would receive the complimentary adapter. Turns out I needed to request the adapter via the online form. I emailed Ford yesterday and they said they would not provide me with one--even though I bought a 75,000$ vehicle from them, and from being misinformed, failed to sign up for the adapter program. Should I bite the bullet and buy out of pocket the adapter? Thanks

They are less $200 dollars. If you can afford a $75k truck I assume you can afford an adapter.

I might go back to the sales guy and take my $200 bucks out of his ass. (At least make a scene in the show room when he has another customer.) @Laxputs

I bought my Lightning in August.

Seems that you had to apply for free adapter by June 30, 2024.

The adapter is free of charge for those who are enrolled in Ford's BlueOval Charge Network and order one by June 30, 2024. After that point, customers will have to pay $230 for the adapter, which uses Tesla's proprietary NACS outlet.

2. The free program ended Aug 31st (extended from Jun 30th) so you were on the edge to begin with.

You should buy an adapter.
