Trailer brake module fault

Hi team. I got the following alert this week. Also, my blinkers are flashing on the dash at 2X normal rate (although the blinkers outside are flashing at a normal pace). Message came after a day of hard rain. However, I never have towed anything with my Lightning. Thoughts?

I have not had any issues, have you checked the 12v battery connection to ensure that it's tight?

BTW, what trim do you have and when did it arrive?

Fast blinking blinkers could be a bulb out (at least it is in ICE F-150s), I'd turn on your hazards and verify everything is working.

My passenger front blinker was clicking fast on the dash and bulb was not flashing in the front. The rear was flashing at the correct pace. It would resolve itself after a restart and then occur again soon after. As soon as I got my first update 3.5.2 to the truck it hasn't happened since. What update are you on?

It is the real account. They will get your VIN and dealer and then tell you to go to your dealer. Some people have had luck with them helping setup the appointment, others have been ghosted

Any resolution to this problem? I have the exact same issue. 2022 F150 Lightning Lariat, 4000 miles. Same trailer brake module fault message and fast blinking turn signals. I have not yet connected a trailer.

Had it into dealer.. they reset it and ordered a new module (which is in now). I have not had any issues since reset. I will probably have them put new module in.

Just following up. Dealer wanted to keep my truck for a week to diagnose so I went ahead and pulled the under-hood fuse 42, waited a few minutes, reinstalled and the fault message and rapid blinking went away. Obviously not a root cause fix, but got my trailer lights and other related functionality working again. I will pursue a more permanent fix if the problem recurs.

Was it determined the break module was bad? I have the same message coming up in my 23 Pro, 2500 miles. Ive towed with the truck some but not with a trailer with electric breaks. Ive never used the break controller. It has been a very wet winter but after calling my local dealer, they made it sound like they couldn't even work on Lightning's. They recommended I check all the wiring connections for corrosion. Seems like a cop out for a new truck under warranty. Not sure what to do...

Clean out the trailer plug at the rear bumper, it can short out and cause erroneous readings.
