Train ride to NorCal

Emailed my sales guy and he mentioned Las Vegas - but im not sure where he picked up this city name as I only metioned I tracked it to Nevada.

He speculates its the BNSF embargo and we might be sitting in a lot before CA. However he also says its just his personal guess not Fords.

We shall see.

The first thing my dealer said when he called was if I knew about the Embargo. The way he phrased it made it sound like it was a new embargo, but I'm pretty sure it's not. He thought no shipments would be coming this way until August, so was confused about why it seemed like mine was shipped.

Given that we are not on BNSF, that embargo doesn't impact us.

I just thing some dealers are not up to date on things.



However, I just looking for UP and Embargo on the Googles and I found this on their website:

UP goes into Benicia.

Unless I am mistaken, someone asked for an Embargo to where our Trucks need to unload to just Yesterday, and it goes into effect 7/22?

I hope it means trains not on the rail currently... the UP tracking says it will arrive 7/23.

Probably same train as mine (my car# TTGX987108 ).

Sometime recently? UP tracking stopped mentioning all stops... It only mentions the origin (Chicago) and the destinations ("Industry" generic for all destinations).

Car number CNA712433. It said departed 12:28pm today was the last update. It doesn't say departed from where. It then says arrived west Chicago on the 16th and originated in Dearborn. My shipped email was the 13th. Not very clear where it's at currently.

About UP Embargo:

Totally unexpected but UP not only replied, but did it in record time:

Embargo UP083122 isn’t effective until 7/22. Therefore, anything waybilled prior to that date will not hit this embargo.

My Lightning that is due to be delivered in NorCal 8/3-8/9 to the dealership and is now showing today at is final location in Las Vegas. My dealer said that usually their shipments go to Richmond, CA and then are trucked over to the dealership from there.

Does this mean my Lightning will be trucked over from VEGAS????


I'd fly there and pick it up.

Any others know how to track it now that it seems that it is done with its rail portion of the shipment??

There is overall confusion right now where our NorCal trucks are actually being unloaded

I read a note on the other f150 forums from last year that said they came into bencia on UP. But UP just told me no. But I don't have clearance to find out more.

A UP trace of my railcar this morning showed the "arrive at industry" is now the 25th. Was originally the 22nd. Then the 23rd, as of this morning it's the 25th. Dang.

UP tracking of my rail car now says “Empty, Departed, 7/21 4PM”. No idea what that means and it doesn’t give a location.

Definitely a different train I guess. Just got pushed back to 7/26. Anybody hear of train derailing? If so it's probably mine. Apparently I'm on the little engine who couldn't.
