I towed my camper for a short distance yesterday. Now my truck still thinks it’s towing. How do I exit back to normal drive mode? It’s been several independent drives already.

Going from memory here….can’t you open the trailer app and tap “No trailer”?

I just towed for the first time yesterday and had a similar situation. After I disconnected the trailer, the truck still seemed to think I was towing (as indicated by my range estimate) and I needed to specifically go to the towing screen to select No Active Trailer. My guess is that the truck needs to be turned on in order to detect the connect/disconnect automatically. In my case it was turned off when I disconnected so it didn't pick up the event.

While we're on the subject, does anyone know if we can disable all the alarms that come one when towing? I'm well aware that my parking sensors and cross-traffic alerts won't work. Don't need to be reminded everytime I put it into Reverse...

Have you properly setup your trailer following the manual and onscreen instructions? When properly setup, I believe the sensors shouldn't go off incorrectly, they'd either be extended like BLIS, or disabled.

I have seen the same issue and I have fully setup my trailer and it’s adjusted BLIS. However once it disconnected the truck doesn’t recognize that event.

I have had it even not accept the No Trailer option after disconnecting.

Seems to clear up after you stop and start the truck.

Yes, I've gone through all the setup steps. It's not the sensors themselves, but rather all the warnings on the dash telling me that "cross traffic sensing is disabled" etc... I'm just tired of being warned about it.

I don't believe you are warned every time you put it in reverse, just once per key cycle, no?

It's every time. I was executing a multi-point turn trying get the trailer turned around in a tight space so I was shifting somewhat frequently.

And you turned it off the first time, but then it reactivated later in the turn? Or, you didn't turn it off the first time?

Yep, I hit OK on all the warnings and then the next time I shift to R the warnings all reappear.
