I guess it depends on the dealership. Around here, Northern Virginia, DC Maryland area, it was on the public websites, but sometimes in fine print...I looked high and low for several months, most dealerships really nearby had the high-end trucks out of my preferred price range....then there were the dealership that were adding markups of $10k, omg! Could not find a Pro anywhere.

So I waited patiently until the high demand dropped and as did the price, and I found a Pro with 9.6kW ProPower and towing package - I would have liked the spray-in bed liner too but 2 out of 3...
also they knocked $7500 off the price as a discount because they weren't set up to do the up-front tax credit yet.

As for the tax credit, I just looked at https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/tax2023.shtml and searched and the three 2025 Lightning trims are listed (as long as MSRP is no more than $80k):

Ford F-150 Lightning Vehicle availability vs what the Ford website says? 2025 ford lightning tax credit

You can do your own search there - I picked a Ford Lightning put into service range of Jan 2025-Dec 31, 2026.

Well, the saga continues. I had sent the sales guy I had met a few weeks ago at my local dealer an e-Mail earlier this week with a listing of what were requirements and that most other features were optional. He responded in part a few minutes ago:
Unfortunately most dealers don t want to dealer trade on Lightnings . We are thinking it might be because they might discontinue them . If one becomes available I will contact you . Another option is to do a special order on a 2025 model . You can order it exactly the way you want it .
This is beyond frustrating. I have money in my pocket and can't seem to find anyone who wants it...
And this is a dealer recommended for EV sales / service.

@Ford Motor Company , you need to call the CEO and encourage him to get Model-E back on track, the stupidity of these ICE dealers is embarrassing!

Lol. I work at the plant that currently builds the Lightning and ICE F-150. I can assure you, it will not be discontinued. And most dealers don't stock the Lightning. They are held in regional fulfilment centers that the dealers can pull units from, so there is no need to do a dealer trade.

Personally, I would try another dealer if they don't want your money.

So I have gathered. The frustrating part is that every dealer around lists the same vehicles as "in stock" - which would go along with a regional fulfillment center, but no one can actually get those vehicles.

Personally, I would try another dealer if they don't want your money.
That's what I am planning on. Fortunately this is the Los Angeles basin. There are quite a few dealers fairly close.

The power of the buyer rewards capable dealer and penalizes incompetent dealer, the beauty of open market free enterprise.
