Took the Lightning camping in the Ozarks this past weekend. It was the first time to use my induction cooking set up and it worked great. The burn ban in place pushed me into using it. I might upgrade to the dual or just get another single but overall no complaints. I love a good campfire, but I must say it's nice not smelling like it the whole time. Some other things I learned this trip, trail rating 5 is probably the max for me and the Lightning (turning radius/ground clearance/angles/size). The truck stayed on all weekend and I used 2-3% battery on cooking 5 meals, electric blankets, and the electric cooler running in the frunk the entire time. Covered about 60 miles of trails from Fri evening to Sun morning. Cameras never show how steep the trails are in pics and vids but the short vid is descending about a 13* decline. Max incline/decline I saw was 16*.

What trail app is that?

Great report. I'm looking forward to outdoor rec this year with the Lightning.

What tent do you have? Does this work with a Tonneau?

I had a truck-top tent I used with my old truck, but with the hard tonneau it doesn't work unless I were to remove it. Didn't see a rear view of your truck but this looks nice and easy.

Ozarks are such an underrated area. I was really surprised how beautiful it was the first time I drove through.
I have a hillside log home less than 40 miles from where the OP camped in NW Arkansas. I've been wanting to do some day trips and light camping with my Lightning, but the truck is busy hauling gravel and construction materials for various projects. One day...

I am intrigued by the induction cooktop. Need to check that out.

App is OnX Off-Road. I like that and GaiaGPS but seem to use OnX more.

Tent is:

It works with my cheap roll-up tonneau. Probably any cover that completely clears the bed will work. It just sits on the surface and straps down to the wheel wells and under the rear bumper. It's not an all-season tent so zero help with cold temps but great for fair-weather camping. Working on figuring out a way to pump cabin AC into the tent for this summer.
