That's why I added max tow to my order.
I delayed my order hoping to get a Pro, but I'll definitely be ordering max tow even though it's not really clear what it's effect is.

We need Out of Spec or TFL or someone to get two otherwise identical trucks, one with Max Tow and one without, to do some simultaneous torture testing or something.

the MAX TOW has been described as an additional second 'Chiller' and cooling lines surrounding the Battery Pack, to provide additional cooling for the potential increased heat that the battery might create due to more weight being moved, and especially at higher speeds and during hotter weather/temps...

No, it has NO impact on the truck, frame, suspension, or anything else to do with how the truck is built - ALL of the trims have the same exact 10,000lb towing capacity, as for the frame and build of the truck, but the BATTERY is what will take the beating when towing the increased weights - the STANDARD battery is already able to easily tow 5,000lbs even WITHOUT the Max Tow package cooling, and 7,700lbs WITH the optional package. The EXTENDED RANGE larger battery is already able to handle 7,500lbs, and of course, increases to 10,000lbs with the MAX TOW - except for the Platinum, due to it's already heavier weight.

Something to consider for the up coming MY-2023 order makers, might want to get MAX TOW even if you're not towing. First reason is future re-sale value to the next owner, second is current performance capabilities.

When these types of things happen, taking pictures and noting date, time, speed, what you were doing (towing, etc.), whether you recently charged, etc. will prove very helpful in getting potential updates applied later. Some issues are re-creatable at the dealer, some throw codes, but some they have to rely on the customer's feedback before they can get approval to apply an update.

For example, Mach-Es had an issue that when they charged at 48amps the fans kicked into high gear. Think an airplane taking off in your garage. That was unintended behavior, and dealers don't have 48amp chargers to re-create it, so they simply took your word for it and applied the update based on Ford's diagnostic process (it also occurred at DC fast charging but they can't reproduce that at the dealer also).

For replication. Is there a good odb software to read the raw data values from control modules that might be helpful

I'm in Greenville too, would really like to check out your truck in person if you have time.
