Ford Authority dropped this article a few days ago. Ford F-150 Lightning Range Drops During Canadian Winter: Study the study by the Canadian Automobile Association compares the loss in range during cold weather for 13 different vehicles. None of us expects the Lightning to do very well however, the study as published shows the Lightning losing 35% of it's range and the Chevy Silverado EV losing only 14%!!!! I ran the calculations on all 13. All are correct except for the Lightning (actually losing 43% of it's range) and the Silverado, which actually lost 37%.
I sent an email to the Manager of Public affairs of the CAA explaining the error and asking them to correct it immediately. (sounds threatening, doesn't it
) I was going to copy someone at Ford as well but wasn't able to find an email address for anyone, so I'm counting on someone at Ford to see this and report it there corporate.
