Yes, my first EV was a 2021 Mach-E First Edition and I love it (aside from the bouncy ride; see my never-ending thread in the Mach-E forum... šŸ¤£), but my 2023 Lightning Lariat is the best vehicle I have ever owned and I have owned a few that I have truly loved ('98 Wrangler Sport, '07 Mustang GT are in the top 3). I don't love that I paid 20% above MSRP when I bought my Lightning, but I would absolutely do it again because I love this truck so much.

Would buy again if they offer the Pro again at $39k. Awesome value for a truck that capable.

I love my 23 Lariat ER so much, I put it up for sale as I have a Cybertruck too and also love that.
I put it up for sale a few months ago I got two 58k offers and I ended up backing out and still trying to sell the Cybertruck.
I love everything about the truck, except the slow software. Tesla definitely has that one in the bag.
I drive it way more than the Cybertruck, already have 12k on the Lightning and 7k on the Cybertruck.
One other tiny gripe, the center console doesn't want to stay up, there's no locking it into place. Any tiny bump with your arm and it closes.

Yes but I made the mistake of having my wife try the Mach-e. Soā€¦we bought that. Love being all EV. The Lightning and Mach-e make a nice couple šŸ˜Ž

Absolutely without a second of hesitation! Great truck, excellent ride, & access to Tesla superchargers! The only thing, other than more range/software updates, that I would like is the King Ranch trim line.

*Full discourse: I am Ford loyalist with this being my 6th Ford product.

Yes. Truck is awesome. Infrastructure still sucks but is definitely improving. Paid $35k for my Pro. Won't see that again. Plan to buy another one in a few years when the batteries get closer to 500 mile range. Drives better and faster than the Dodge Challenger I traded in for it. Would like to see some fun colors too.

Thatā€™s a silly question. Why would I buy a Lightning again if I already have one? Are you asking if I regret buying my Lightning?

I do not regret buying my Lightning. Given the choices available when I bought my Lightning, the Lightning best suited my needs and desires. Even now given the value of the Lightning to me I consider the Lightning to be a top choice.

I think if I wrecked my Lightning and had to replace it I would still buy a Lightning. Do I think the Lightning has room for improvement? Absolutely, but those kind of changes take time and I donā€™t see any other EV pickup currently available that is that much improved over the Lightning.

Ten years from now my Lightning may be obsolete. I have no idea what will be available or what my priorities will be ten years from now. Iā€™m hoping and planning to keep my Lightning several decades but technical advancements or life conditions may make it impractical to hang on to the Lightning that long.

Yes, with the current state of the market. If I have to replace it, I hope that Ford has a faster charging version available because that is the one weakness compared to my Kia. It is not bad, we have done thousand mile road trips with no real hassle but the Kia is done almost before you can get back from the bathroom and the Ford makes me hang around for another 10 minutes or so.

If Ford wanted to make something that I would buy in addition, it would be a long bed extended cab version at a good price - and preferably much lower like the previous versions of the F-150. This one is awfully tall when you need to do truck stuff.

No. The slow software, lack of OTA updates/fixes, dealer hesitation to work on it, and atrocious resale value would make me think twice if I were to go back.

OP, youā€™re under on your current vehicle now, if you get the Lightning youā€™ll be down $30k as soon as you drive off, but that is with any EV right now thanks to a certain company.

The truck is fantastic other than that.

Letā€™s be truthful. No BS, no sugar. Would you buy another?
I ask because I still maintain my 2022 Lightning was the best Ford truck I can remember in 40 years. Solid. Yes, teething, but it was new technology. I had issues, but the biggest was range. The standard just didnā€™t cut it for me. I had to bail after trying to get an ER. Then the bottom fell out 2 weeks later after I got out.
Now, Iā€™m in a position to get back into an ER Flash. Just wondering what you owners have to say.
I an upside down in my current truck, and have enough incentives, tax rebate, and a PCO to right me up. I could save an easy $5,000 plus a year driving a Lightning again. But Iā€™d want to just run it. Iā€™m on the fence. In 5 years, Iā€™d have between 150-200k on it. I donā€™t think the batteries are an issue. The service intervals thru 200k are literally tiring. Nothing. I think a coolant change at 160k if I recall. The ER would fit my daily driving without issue. Vacations? Eh, maybe. I have concerns at 150-200k, who would want a used EV? New tech with better batteries, quicker charging, longer range would have to kill a used Lightning, right? Am I concerned about these things for nothing? I canā€™t imagine my 2023 STX will return $20k in five years with 150 on the clock, after its $15k depreciation in six months. So whatā€™s the likelihood a 2024 Lightning will return $20k in five years with all the other tech advancement strikes against it? I canā€™t find my crystal ball. Thoughts appreciated.

Actually I did buy a second Lightning months after my first 1.
Purchased my Lightning pro on May 23, 2024 to replace my all wheel drive 2014 Chevy traverse with 45,000 miles. Thought I would use it as a nice family car and the occasional parts delivery truck. But after driving it, I discovered I loved it. Loved driving it everywhere. Installed my home charger and put on 2500 miles in 3 months.

Thought that I loved it so much , I should upgrade to a higher trim level with more bells and whistles. So on Labor Day I leased a Flash, and kept my Pro as the stealers only wanted to give me 35k for a 55,000 msrp Pro 3 months old with 3k miles. Figured I could sell it on my own.

Placed an add on Craigs list and pretty much sold it the first week. With 5 others as a backup. Still waiting for all the paperwork to go through from Ford. And DMV.
I told the buyer could take over my 0% loan, 0 down if they had good credit. 3 weeks of waiting and Ford approved it. $135. Fee for the process. Now just waiting on a special DMV form 262 to go through and I will be free and clear of the vehicles financial responsibility. We both knew it could take 6-8 weeks for the process going into the deal, so the buyer is fine with it.
Yes, I love the Lightning so much that I purchased 2 within months and cancelled my 4.5 year wait on a Cybertruck. Glad I did and sounds like well over 1 million others did the same.
