I've never understood curb weight.

Does parking on the curb weight more?
Gross Vehicle Weight Vs.
Your curb weight represents your vehicle's weight with all of the standard equipment and amenities, it doesn't include any cargo or passengers. Gross vehicle weight, on the other hand, does include the additional weight of your passengers and cargo.

This thread is very accurate according to my dealer. I got a call yesterday telling me how ordering will open in January and if I had any questions. I said nope, I'm not really expecting anything until 2023-2024, he goes man I wish more felt the way you did. Way too many people think they will be getting one in 2022.

Is it an issue if the reservation is under a different name vs who will be purchasing? For example my wife reserved one but it's for her father (same last name). That a problem?

This whole dealer Prioritization has really already mired The F150 lightning before it even reaches buyers. I’m not going to be one of these guys who constantly bothers the dealer or bribes them. I encourage all of you to take to social media and reach out to CEO Jim Farley and Mike Levine (Ford Social Media Director) on Twitter, Instagram whatever you have. They are both very active on Twitter. let them know, as I have, that this process needs to be monitored closely and Ford needs to do the right thing here. Before they piss off several thousand customers.

Ultimately the decision lies with Ford as to who they will invite to purchase the truck. The dealer prioritization is simply another factor for Ford to consider. So Ford could ignore or override the dealers request and still invite who they want to purchase the truck. So reach out and tell Ford how you really feel about it.

Your dealer might know. Usually they have to be in the same household. Ie same address.

Exactly, it stated in the letter, the Dealership Prioritization would serve as “an input”. Ford could look at the time stamps and call “Foul” if a Reservation time stamp was way off, if you get my drift.

I'm surprised they're offering the Lariat standard range. Doesn't make sense to have low range on a truck that'll obviously be used by a family.
Haha. I drive a Expedition MAX and am a single guy. Not every “3 row SUV” or luxury truck is used by a family. ??‍♂

Ford could also say; “wait a minute here, this guy has placed an order through a dealership that is 1200 miles away when he’s got 3 or 4 dealerships within a 30 minute drive”. Who knows what algorithm Ford will use to send out the invites to order???? Just saying

Hopefully Ford sees the order from 1200 miles away as being an indicator that the local dealers are probably charging excessive ADM, thus driving customers to move/book their orders with remote dealers.

What if, what if Ford is wanting “Exposure” to its new product line. Ford may wish to spread out all the various trims across the country. If all the Lightning trucks end up in California, no one on the east coast gets a peak every now and again. I know I’ve bought a car/truck simply because I saw it on the road or in a parking lot. I sure hope they spread them out and they all don’t end up in one place. EV’s don’t typically travel far from home base.

Anyone know if we'll still be able to change the dealer our reservation is with after invitations go out? What if I get my invitation and my dealer suddenly decides they want to add ADM...will I still be able to call into Ford to change to another dealer and then place my order through the new dealer?

Sorry if it's already been asked (I couldn't keep up with all 14 pages of this thread).

What a relief. I just switched dealerships last week and found out this morning I landed 4 and 5 on the list. That is good enough for me!

I was #17 on the Bronco list and got my Bronco in October. They had 90 allotments for those, but not sure how many they have for the Lightning.

I am having a tough time with Chapman in PA. I haven't heard anything back from them. I was told to switch there due to no ADM, but with the high counts and no communication, I may have to switch again. Ugh.

Any idea (guesses) as to how many trucks a major player like Chapman may be allocated for MY22? I reserved with the first 24 hours and they confirmed I'm in the 1st 50 spots, but I'm only interested in the pro model, so I'm sweating over if I really have a shot or not.
I reserved within an hour of the broadcast being over and was confirmed spot number 16 there. I’m sure if you jumped to a different dealer you would move up, but they seem like a great dealership to work with so I am staying put.
