OTA=“over the air.” Trucks equipped with a telematics control unit (TCU) a/k/a “modem” use a cellular connection to communicate with the Ford mothership. Ford uses this cellular connection to send Power Up software updates to the truck.OTA is over the air, maybe maps over the air, does your truck have built in Navigation?
Mine shows “No data” and I’m also not getting updates. Does anyone else have anything besides no data or vehicle doesn’t support? Yes I have updates turned on, I plan to ask the dealership when I go for my first oil change in a couple of weeks.Could this be the reason im not getting my OTA updates? Anyone elses show vehicle doesn't support mmota?
Yeah, I made a bunch of modifications with ForScan, that’s probably it. Will check this out after work, thanks!Unsure if you were messing about with FDRS...but I was, and I unknowingly "broke" my OTA, horn & lights honk, and SecuriAlert.
My widget claims that my truck does not support mmota:
Many people broke their OTA - there's a bug in FDRS when running a network scan over J2534 pass-through protocol might corrupt data.
The fix is easy enough (if you have an active license) - run the network scan again!
Second that, this widget is great all around! That would be nice but there are already too many positive notes to count. This really is an outstanding effort.
