ECU module programming guide using FDRS

So far, I haven’t noticed anything obviously missing. I’m wondering if the PMI restored what the update failed to load and now the IPC software is kind of a Frankenstein’s monster of two different builds—the original and the update. In any event, three things I have observed: (1) FORscan seems to be reporting valid numbers for all files; (2) I have all my gauges and menus (as far as I know); and (3) to my surprise, I did not lose any of the FORscan changes to the IPC I made last month to display digital engine and transmission temps. I expected those to be overwritten with new IPC software. That seems to suggest an incomplete installation. FDRS as of Thursday, however, was reporting that the IPC software was up to date. So, I don’t know where I’m at now.

That is what I am thinking.. it’s more of a mash up of files .. if you can in Forscan see how many lines you have for your as build.. should be 14 now 11 before.

When I get home I’ll pull your car and look at what is reported and see if in fact it all updated or not

Those look like 5.0 cluster files? Is that what you have

Yes, I just checked FORScan and show 14 blocks

Ok . So yes. What happened to you is what I believe is happening to everyone. It loaded the as build portion and failed everything else. To put into per this update should have taken hours.

Here is my current files on a V8 not updated !

Now his is ideal for comp sake.

Make of this what you want but three files should have been updated .!

If you can look in your usb and see what files are on it those are the files that should be in your cluster

I only have 1 file on the USB; MU5T-10F906-FDA.VBF which is what F120 should be and is based on what I posted above.

While in the toolbox click the All tab then click on TDM on the left side you should see a new tab show with TRM as it's label now click on TRM - Programmable Module Installation (PMI) then Download and run. Go through the prompts as if you already installed a new module and report back if that cleared your DTC

The GSM will not go away... disregard it as it appears to be a bug

Trm will have a dtc there is even a tsb about it.
