I'm not surprised at the lack of explanation. They would probably only provide an explanation if their stock price tanked due to an adverse news story about the lack of shipments going on with the Lightnings.

We don't know what day the B-Roll video was shot with the rail cars and transport trucks being loaded. Maybe they had that film in the can for quite a while. You would think with Farley's tweet of those videos transportation would be imminent. Maybe he jumped the gun too.

I think the Lightning delay is probably software related. Not missing chips but something with the software that was discovered at the last minute. E.G. Two journalists in SATX noted issues with Blue Cruise that seemed to have it underperforming (perhaps not safely enough to release to the public?). Somehow Ford is keeping the info on this very tight.
Blue cruise is already out on the Mach-e and ICE F150, so I doubt that is it.

If it was a slowdown we would have seen at least a single customer delivery by now. But it is a complete halt. Not even a verified dealer delivery at this point.

I wonder if some media outlets will pick it up soon "One month from it's official launch and no F150 Lightnings have been delivered yet" would be a good headline.

I'm sure its a wait until Ford can deliver to dealers all over the country at the same time. So they need to wait till they have a bunch of pre orders built and the extras for the dealers. They dont want dealers in one region to have a bunch of trucks and everyone else have nothing.

Probably not. If a timed, geographic allocation was the plan, it would have been programmed into the order invite and build schedule process.

Shipment of the first wave of Mach E builds was delayed because of an issue with the way the big battery was (was not) charging the 12v battery. Took a few weeks to figure out a solution and get the software updated.

I recall that review, and a very good reason to not release until any safety matter is tweaked to perfection, the engineers and lawyers would be in the drivers seat on that matter.

Who got a truck built today? Should be 100 or so more rolling off the line. I'm up tomorrow number 118/470. Should be building just under 100 a day. Hoping the as built pops by Thursday.

My blend date was today and it said 87/470 but still shows as in production.

Information in the Ford Vehicle Order Tracker that it is built could take weeks. (so far of the 4000 or more Lightnings that have been assembled, only a handful (like maybe five of them) have been updated to a status of built.

What you want to check to see if it has been assembled is to see if your modules have popped. Check this thread for details on how to do that. https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...hen-your-modules-activate-populate-pop.10156/

If your truck reached the end of the assembly line today then the modules should be active and you can see that it is alive.

My truck, 8\470, had a blend day of yesterday and the modules are alive today. No 'Built' acknowlegement on the Ford tracker, though.
Very cool they popped that quick. Mine is being built today. I struggle as I go from waiting and how this cool day is to - how long will it sit on a lot or be driven between lots before Ford decides they want to ship it to me.

I've predicted all along I'd have it 3 weeks after it was built, this mess would be behind us, but I'm getting close. Hoping the log jam breaks.

What are Sq-1 and Sq-2?
I assume mine is would be 8236
Sequence 2 is a counter Ford uses. Generally Ford starts the counter at 0001 and then it keeps moving upward until it gets to 9999 and then it starts over again for the F150. Each vehicle has this unique number and it helps the guys putting the parts together because this is the number that that will see on the parts selection. However, I can see on our 354 vehicles we have visibility on, that the sequence 2 number only stays between 8000 and 8999 in our small sample size. I am confident that a 354 sample size that Ford is only using numbers from 8000 to 8999 for the Lightning. Without a single number between 0001 and 9999 except for our 8000 series, there is no way they are keeping with the 9,999 record counter like the ICE gas F150.
