June 2022 may be the largest of all months for Lightning deliveries ? Fiscal year end for investors?

Does anyone think that June 2022 may the largest delivery month of Lightnings ?

Based on the "surprise" deliveries ahead of schedule I have seen on FB I would not be surprised if Ford pushes out every bit of the Lightning orders before June 30, 2022.

Seeing posts of people getting their Lightnings ahead of expected dates, the Ford Tracker page is very delayed, and now seeing east coast folks getting theirs...

Since corporate tax end / fiscal year ends on June 30th - do you think Ford is trying boost their final year end numbers by getting them into customers hands ?

Personally, I am stunned at how quickly my 4/12/22 order went to a build date of 6/13/22 with a blend date of 6/17/22.

I may end up getting her by 4th of July ???

I feel like 4-5 weeks from blend to delivery may be a bit optimistic depending on location. But I’d be happy to be surprised

This Lightning came in 18 days earlier than Ford predicted - surprised the customer by a text from the dealership:

My impression from ice f150 forums, the traditional delivery time was 3 to 4 weeks.

This was before chip constraints and transit issues. The chip issue shouldn't impact lightnings.

However ford is still shipping out thousands of vehicles a day. They sold 74k trucks in May alone (154k total vehicles).

I dont see why ford cannot push these out quick, they have the capacity, its just a fraction of their overall volume. It's a matter of prioritization.

May 16th seemed like it was the official start of sending out trucks. By end of may they had 200 or so delivered.

Seems reasonable ford can ship out 500 to 1000 a week without much issue. The most lightnings they make in a week has been around 680.

Those with early build dates are going to feel like it takes forever since they had to wait for more quality checks and the official start. But, I hope its starting to trend towards people seeing trucks around a month after the the blend date.


Ford 100% would be conservative with delivery times. Worse case it likely arrives on the dates people have been seeing, but if there not hangups, should be sooner.

Similar shipping situations happened with ioniq 5s as well. I had an estimated delivery date of March 3rd. It arrived Feb. 20th.

I guess I'm perplexed by the title and content of this post.

May was the only delivery month so far. Therefore, yes, June will be the largest month of the whole 2 months of deliveries.

As to fiscal year end, Ford's fiscal year ends on 12/31, not 6/30.
