As a firm believer in bidets being a necessity anywhere I travel, I think I see what the OP is going for...
Yes, add a 120 volt high pressure pump and you could go with a smaller line and make up the volume with the pump. That same small line could either as you said go through the frunk drain, or you could also drill a small hole to where the battery is and run your line in the extra space it's not completely taken out by the transmission tunnel. Then bring it up into the bed you can pop any of the rubber seals at the front part of the bed floor. The use case is to move water from a tank stored in the frunk to a point inside the bed. Just a concept at this point, so I have no elaboration.
Thanks! As I don't have a Lightning yet, I wasn't sure if its design was far enough from a combustion F-150 that it might not be possible to run a water line through the area.Yes, add a 120 volt high pressure pump and you could go with a smaller line and make up the volume with the pump. A 120 volt high pressure pump sounds like it could be painful when used in the bidet application.Yes, add a 120 volt high pressure pump and you could go with a smaller line and make up the volume with the pump. Better than a 10HP pump running off the 240V.A 120 volt high pressure pump sounds like it could be painful when used in the bidet application.
There should be space looking at the two frames and engine and transmission out in the lightning. Thanks! As I don't have a Lightning yet, I wasn't sure if its design was far enough from a combustion F-150 that it might not be possible to run a water line through the area.
400 lbs capacity gets you 42 gallons minus tank weight.Unless whatever you are putting in bed is heavier than the water I'd want the water in bed. The rake is already bad enough, weight the bed down first if at all possible.
True True.Better than a 10HP pump running off the 240V.
I don't have my lightning on hand but the drain plug for the frunk is one option. Please move this thread if there is a more appropriate sub-forum. None that I saw quite fit.
For weight balance and other reasons, I'm wondering if it's possible to place a water tank in the frunk and plumb it so that it comes out at a point accessible to the inside of the bed?
I know that the frunk has a small drain in its lowest point, and that is a start, but it's not a complete answer.
For an ordinary F-150 (if it had a frunk), I know this would be possible, but I'm not sure if or how the design of the Lightning would complicate something like this.
Given the size and shape of the frunk, you couldn't put a lot of water in it. The overall volume is 400 liters or 105.67 gallons, but the weight limit is 400 pounds, so about 48 gallons max.For a truck camper in the bed? If you have an on-demand pump I don't see why not
