Just got the sunrun call offering 3 options. $1650 for charger install and he said everything was included in that price regardless of complexity. $9400 for charger and HIS. And then 3rd option is to add 8 panels to my existing sunrun (on when I bought the home) system.

What’s included with option 3 and how much does it cost?

I have to send him a bill and he has to build the system. He said I could just pay for the system but sunrun prefers a PPA which is what my current system is under. They also won’t add the system to the current contract so i would restart the 20 year agreement for the 8 panels.

So I got a response - $15k for 8 panels and it includes HIS and charger install. Or I pay 22.3c per kWh produced and it increases 2.9% annually for 20yrs. They estimate it will start at $85 per mo. Hard to not do the cash option and use the tax credit to bring it down to ~11.5k.

and he did say that if the grid is down the solar won’t charge the truck. I hadn’t seen that anywhere but assumed that’s how a grid tied system would work.

An awful lot of money being spent to charge your vehicle (only during the day). I don't know if I would trust their system expansion estimates since they are obviously going to benefit from you dumping all that money into their pockets and then benefitting on the backside from the system generation pushing electricity back into the grid. I have a solar system and lease (Sunnova) that also came with the house and I'm just going to wait and see how my usage increases. I installed a 60 amp generator connect to my service box that I could potentially use both to power my house with the truck and to charge at level 2. Learning as we go... good luck!

Yes, if they release stickers early, but no later than 8/4 around 2200 hours.
I've know I've seen it and have scrolled through a few different channels, but what are all the different ways to check the window sticker again? I found the one from the channel that's stuck near the top that sends you to the official ford site -- I thought I recalled there being more than one place to check though.

I think you can just use this url.... just insert your VIN number where it says PASTEYOURVINNUMBERHERE

Thanks for the update. So if the grid is down the solar is useless?
