If you got a Pro, I dont think you could claim anything's disappointing, you won the lottery in just being able to order it :)

Despite ford being coy on whether or not it's losing money, it's 100% losing money selling to retail customers which is why they were extremely limited. They make money on other services for fleets.
Yes but then we couldn't enjoy the dramatic screen grab with your hand to face , eyes down, in what appears despair and disappointment in the mind!

The. ;)

I would have taken a Pro in a second! Had so much money leftover to do whatever I want with it.
Such a dramatic Landing Page!

@Mcalc55 What color did you use in your Katzkin seating? Just wondering if you color matched and if so what was the color.

Hahaha if it’s not clear yet, I’m learning so much about YT. I love cars but this isn’t my wheelhouse. Learning how important thumbnails and color palettes are to the algorithm is wild! I tried to be entertaining! Hope you guys subscribe. It’s already doing better than I thought!

I agree though, the pro is awesome! No deal breakers for me

I went with this diamond stitch that was about $400 more than the color matched. It’ll be ventilated and cooled and they’re adding lumbar support on the drivers side for $200

Buy a pro and make a video to complain Lariat features are missing?
Haha maybe disappointing is the wrong way to put it. I think about it more like I’m calling out what isn’t included so people can make the right decision. Appreciate your perspective though! I hear what you’re saying

I agree, I’m excited about your channel because there isn’t a lot of Pro content. But this was a bit..forced and didn’t really give us anything new.

The most interesting parts of the video were the Katskinz and the Raptor wheel. Please do more videos of that.

For something like the running boards, that could’ve been a whole video by itself. It’s missing, here’s the aftermarket options, heres the factory, pros and cons, what you went with, before and after.

Just my 2c on what would get me to subscribe.

Btw, are there plugs for seat retrofits?
I think that’s totally right.
To be upfront I’m literally just dipping my toes in the YT world so every video is a massive opportunity to learn. I agree it’s a bit forced to say anything is a disappointment on such an affordable full size truck but I tried to contrast with my most surprising features video.

I think you bring up a good point with the running boards for sure. The leather gets installed in two weeks. That will absolutely warrant a video. Stay tuned and hit the bell notification 😂😉 appreciate the feedback!

Sorry. I know it works, but I have to admit that I don't click the clickbait "Headlines" like that. Please take this as constructive criticism.

I'm just going to keep posting here to keep this thread alive so everyone is forced to see your click bait thumbnail :)

Hey! I mean let’s be honest. Until you actually sit in these seats in 105 degree Carolina sun for 5 mins and have the worst case of swamp ass and a soaking wet tee shirt I think it could be a deal breaker for some! Haha how about we agree now to keep the click bait ratio 1:5 going forward?

I will be ordering Katzkins the day my XLT shows up, If it ever shoes up. I'm going to color match with the swatches at the installer with the two grey colors, diamond in the middle, two stripes of alcantera, blue stitching for the Atlas Blue outside.

Cooling seats would be nice, in my GMC Sierra HD they work perfectly. Both of my BMW they are terrible. Heated is a must.

I mean I’m not sure how it’s anything more or less. It’s 10 things I don’t care for in the pro, it’s not that it’s not a great value. It’s also juxtaposed against the 10 surprises I have in another video that make it such a good value. I hear you though. It’s all part of the process. That being said, this thread is getting a lot of traction and opens up good dialogue.

To play devils advocate I could see some of these things being deal breakers for a portion of potential buyers. Like the seats or even more likely
the lack of height adjustment or vertical pedals. Imagine not being able to drive your truck cause you can’t see or comfortably reach the pedals. My girlfriend says the truck needs running boards cause it’s too high to get in in a dress which you have to wear cause the seats are too d*mn hot. say in those instances the video is far from clickbait.

Regarding running boards, does anyone actually use them, or is it mainly for the look? The ones on my 17 F150 do nothing but collect road dirt - lots of it. The steel mounting brackets are rusting. I’m considering removing them.

ETA….don’t mind the haters. Sharing opinion through videos such as yours is valuable, especially to those without a truck yet.

I’m 6 feet tall and still find them useful. Obviously I can still get in without them but it is easier just cause it’s a few inches lower. I did really like the powered boards on my old platinum. Can’t speak to stationary ones as well. I think the powered also likely come out lower too
