Just left the dealer, he was able to remove smart hitch and onboard scales, the 2023 pricing is now reflected in my order sheet and my priority code remained the same, 99.

I think he is supposed to reset it to 10 then submit to factory for build acceptance, if they take it then it stays at 10 until scheduling screener pulls it to a lower code for scheduling review.

Inquiring now. Just went over my order on Fords website and saw this:
Are the bumpers chrome now on the Lariat ER?

I had dealer change my code to 10, he sent me the updated order sheet, a minute later I received an email from Ford saying my order has been confirmed. I hope that’s all the leg work I need to do to get this process rolling!

I love how the US gets $650USD off for the scales removal but Canada it is $350CAD... wtf ford?

I have a few different reasons that I am no longer getting the truck (no price protection from getting rolled into a 2023 is the biggest reason)

They're not maintaining the '22 pricing for you Canadians? Hmm... Mine got rolled over to a '23. I was configured with iced blue silver and they switched me to Azure Grey tri-coat for color. Seems all the other options are the same. Was told I can adjust the options/color, but I'm going to leave it.

Nope, Canadians get no price protection. They raised the price by $10500 plus taxes which ends up costing almost $15k more. By the time I get a tonneau cover, spray in Liner, and install the charger the truck would be pushing $140k. Just because it is an EV does not mean it should be $40k more expensive than the ICE version - it makes zero sense to buy at that price difference.

That sucks... Totally agree it shouldn't cost that much. And here I was scratching my head about my order trying to figure out why they configured me for the extra price paint option with the change to '23. Although my dealer might have done that.

I am a Wave 7 order that received the text message from Ford that I was being bumped back to MY2023. When I received that, I emailed my dealer and after a brief back-and-forth, confirmed with him that I am okay with the change.

Then, nothing happened. My order page showed MY2023, but remained unscheduled and my pricing also did not change from 2022.

I just called today asking for an update, and he reiterated to me that everything was fine now that I expressed acceptance of the change to MY2023, and then proceeded to read the email he got from Ford back when the balance-out announcements were made on 8/31. The email from Ford to the dealer states that the dealer must change the priority code on the order to acknowledge that customer contact has been made and the customer wishes to proceed with the conversion. That had not been done.

When he went to go change the priority code, the system prompted him to apply the smart hitch delete, which is now required for conversions. He did so.

After he confirmed that the priority code change applied and that everything was all set, I asked for my current order status. I was told I'm now in Unscheduled-Clean.

My order page doesn't reflect any changes yet but I'm hopeful to see the new 2023 pricing there within a few days.

The moral of this story is, conversions do not happen automatically, they do require specific dealer action. The dealer must signal your acknowledgement of the new pricing (and PCO, if applicable) by submitting a priority code change, and then working through the smart hitch delete, which the system prompts them for. If they don't, you will sit at priority 99 and never get scheduled.

All of this is hinted at in this thread, but I read all 115 posts a number of times and did not really reach a clear understanding of what I needed to ask my dealer for. Hopefully this post helps someone else.

Wow, so you ordered in January. Your truck hasn't been built, now they are pushing to MY23 and raising your price of your confirmed order $15k? I bet that since this is technically not a order between you and Ford, instead it's an order between you and your dealer, you don't even have a legal route to try and recoup the price. Ugh!

What are you going to do?

I said screw it...Ford clearly doesnt care about Canadian orders so I will never buy a Ford vehicle after this from what they have shown.
I ordered a 2023 Palisade Ultimate which is arriving at the end of the month. It cost $70k with taxes which is about half of what the lighting would have ended up costing. Just can't justify paying $140k for a truck no matter how good it is.

The other big issue is on the scales delete, US customers get $650USD off while Canadian customers get $350CAD off for the same thing.

Mine took a few days after the dealer removed it to update the pricing to 2023
