I guess more important question, and sorry forum gods if I'm not supposed to link to another forum, but these ICE guys are saying this sub won't work if you factory ordered with a B&O system.

"This is if you don't have either BO system I believe. Where this amp is installed is where the amp for the BO sub is. I checked on my Lariat SuperCrew with regular BO."

Just noticed this on the MY23 Build Tool - "including Subwoofer" - for the Lariat standard B&O system. If this is the same system as the MY22 and we supposedly have a subwoofer also, you definitely could have fooled me.

I decided against this purchase and install (for the time being) due to the amount of issues I've seen on this Forum with the 12v battery.

We all have subwoofers. It's externally-venting and behind the seats.

I might have to dig into it and take a look, it can't be much. I've tried boosting bass through settings and it still sounds like garbage. I loved the under back seat Sony sub that came with my 2014, although it was admittedly annoyingly in the way sometimes

I miss my 2010 FX4 Sony system sooo much. That sub hit pretty good. That sound system was way better than what they have in the lightning.

B&O in lariat is beyond unbearable, it's in the teriortiy of Porsche Stock and Ranger Rover stock (close to 6 figures asking price with crappy stereos)

Waiting for some great sound engineers to draft something for the Lariat, I ll be the first one to sign up.

Maybe I’m crazy, but after a few longer rides, I don’t find it to be all that bad. I expected a lot worse after all the negative comments

I upgraded my Lightning Lariat to B&O unleashed which I much preferred in my ICE F-150 Lariat. But I wouldn't suggest doing that - it was an escalatingly complex project!

When I was more into car audio, in my experience, most of the benefit of upgraded sound will come from better speakers. In today's audio stuff, the output D-to-As and amps are mostly very similar until you get to very high end units and there should be adequate power unless you want to get very loud.

I'm going to look at replacing the stock speakers with audiophile speakers when my Lightning comes in.

From reviews, the Lightning is one of the quietest vehicles of ALL vehicles today. It measures only 1dB louder than a Mercedes S class at highway speeds according to car and driver. Good audio will be able to be appreciated in such a quiet cabin.

Obviously a subwoofer would help with low bass if the speakers aren't big enough to move enough air.

Sorry I don't know offhand, but with some searching you can find threads on it.

I'm just hoping that the head unit doesn't have a bunch of goofy EQ, digital crossover, or other undefeatable processing.
