I really enjoy looking at my window sticker. I figure I now have 2 months to figure out how to pay for it.
When they raised the prices, I had the mouse over the cancel button to cancel the reservation but didn't click it. Now I'm back in the "maybe I can figure something out" frame of mind.

I also show the higher price point now, but under reservations and orders it shows the lower (when msrp was 46k) I too got the special savings email, but have yet to get clarification. Funny enough, seems like the pro comes standard with heated seats. That’s a nice bonus!

The Steering Wheel Heat removal is not an option, it's due to parts shortages. Search these forums if you want more info.
Bummed, just saw my sticker and no Heated Wheel, which I was looking forward to. Its in the 511A package..... Hopefully still has heated seats though, if not, I may actually not take delivery as we use out pickup as a ski car in Vermont!

I'm 120221101 BLEND 8940

Dealer is in NJ, so hopefully, I get it before EOY

Cool, thanks. I just read that goofy Ford authority article about Ford theoretically activating the heated steering wheel later. Hope that's actually true. I asked the dealer about it, but no response yet, he's really resourceful with the electric vehicles so hopefully he can get some more info

As long as the actual wheel assembly has the resistance coils in it, I can see that working out if its just the digital controller that cycles the steering wheel heat on and off. That could probably be installed at a later date.

Ford has been really excellent supporting our Mach E. They even finally just threw in the second key without us asking.

So hopefully, the heated wheel will be the same thing

If the Heated wheel could be activated later without the addition of hardware it would already be active.

I hope the can retrofit those that are having it taken away...and at the same cost as the credit they are giving.

The way I wrote that was confusing, I'm not that bright sometimes!. What I meant to say, was that if the actual steering wheel that is installed at manufacture date has the heating elements in it, but the actual CANbus controller that makes the heat work by feeding and regulating voltage/current is not available now, but can be added at a later date, that would work as a method of activating the heated steering wheel at a later date.

I guess it could also be plausible that the steering wheel itself could be replaced in the field as well if the actual wheel is a non heated type now at manufacture, and the actual controller is indeed available at time of manufacture.

I believe in the Mach E, there is an external control module on the steering column that supplies voltage/current to the heated steering wheel, so possibly the Lightning is using the same basic assembly.. (for example, the Mach E controller is part number LB5Z-3F791-DA)

No worries! That makes sense, I did interpret that incorrectly.
