This is my question too!What's the etiquette on the line/queue? From my limited experience there's no natural formation of a line, only a car or two parked nearby waiting for the next open station. Do folks arriving at a full station for the most part recognize an informal queue based on order of arrival? Do you wait in an adjacent parking spot or in an aisle ready to jump (this is probably location dependent). Do you engage with the charging folks to try to figure out which spot is freeing up next?
ChargePoint and EVgo have a reservation system but I don’t know if all their stations utilize it. EA does not.I thought some of these have a way of reserving certain station, I might be wrong
In my experience with EA chargers, I usually see people collectively create a queue and follow that. I’ve also seen some random ass just happen to pull in as a charger is feeing up and attempt to charge. It typically doesn’t go well for that individual as there’s an instant swarm of people who have been patiently waiting “in line”. While in some areas like California and Arizona, you may find congestion, much of the rest of the country is not experiencing that. Yes, it's changing, and it may get worse before it gets better.
