New behavior. I’ve successfully been charging with my FCSP and the connection/functionality with my FordPass iApp has worked well. Thursday evening, after driving home, I received a popup alert on my iPhone that my truck is plugged in at home, but not charging.….the problem is my truck is not plugged in….to anything! Clicking on the alert leads me to the attached screen(shot).

Also, I am no longer able to adjust my Departure Times within the Charge Settings screen in FordPass…the app either times out or I get a FordPass communication error. This behavior with the app occurs both when I’m trying it remotely and when I’m inside the cab (ACC & ON modes).

FordPass PAAK still functioning when I’m within range and the remote Zone Lighting feature using the app also works. I am still able to adjust my charge settings within the truck via Sync4A, but none of the changes are not reflected in my iApp.

Tomorrow at 0745 hrs I have a departure time set in the app (turned-off in the truck) with preconditioning….this should be interesting, as I’m not going anywhere tomorrow morning and am not going to plug-in my FCSC🤔

Any thoughts?

Is there a latch on the truck (charger port) that is stuck? Or broken?

Log out of FordPass, totally close the app out of your phone memory and then log back in. That fixes most problems that aren't caused on Ford's end.

Nope, one of the first things I checked. Operated the charge port door and checked for any debris in the charge port….all clear….latches correctly. It has been cool/cold and dry for ~two weeks, so no opportunities for water infiltration…

Any codes? Possible latch sensor malfunction?

Thx, tried it …. no joy. I even tried deleting the app and reinstalling (had to reinitialize PAAK🙃). No change in behavior other than the plugged-in alert cleared on both of these attempts, only to reappear ~1 hour later each time😤

I've seen this infrequently, especially when I've set a 'departure schedule'... the App may not update to the truck for some time, either the truck is not in a good cellular signal area, or something is causing a snag or holdup. The 'talk' between the app and the truck is not always instantaneous like we might be led to believe, for whatever reason.

but, yes, the app is not always as intuitive and speedy and perfect as we wish.

Try power cycling the the FCSP, might be a wild goose chase but worth a try.

I've gotten this error too, out of nowhere many days after charging(and many short drive trips)--truck not plugged in

I believe its a FordPass software issue, not a hardware(sensor) issue.

Once it simply went away on its own after a bit, the other time it went way when I restarted my phone(and Fordpass).

FWIW I also don't have the Ford EVSE installed..I'm using a Chartgepoint flex 48A

I guess that quashes the need to reboot the FCSP.
