✅ 12/19 Lightning Build Week Group (MY2023)

I called the New Vehicle Support Team at 800-334-4375 this afternoon. My XLT SR was scheduled to build 12/19. My status has shown “In Production” for weeks now. Last Friday In Production had “1/4/2023” added to it. Nothing has changed in a week so I called the 800 number. They said it’s on chip hold until January 20-26th. Since we have the same build I’d guess we’re in the same boat @PittsburghLightning

@pja3668 my order actually flipped to ‘built’ today, so hopefully yours flips soon as well. I went into production on 1/3, so just a day before you.

So I got my first couple drives in on my new Lightning. Coming out of a really nice 2019 ram which was pretty loaded. So far I had to say it is a really nice drive. All my driving so far has been at night and I really enjoy their auto high beams. Lights work really well. Nice smooth quiet drive and best of all the wifey is enjoying it also which means a lot.
Also the backup cameras are far superior to what I had in the RAM. That view from above makes a massive difference.
Also really do like the color. Wasn't sure if it was going to be too light and too close to white for me but it's just right.

A couple early morning picks at home. Hey anyone notice that on full charge it stops about 12 miles short of advertised full range. Charge showed 100% @ 219

I'm jealous! My truck is still awaiting pickup. I looked at past deliveries and it seems like they do convoys once or twice a week, hopefully mine gets to the dealership on the next trip Tuesday. I have been getting a little frustrated with my dealership, they don't seem to want to send me a purchase agreement with Parsons listed. I don't think there's actually an issue, maybe they're busy, but emails texts calls haven't made progress. At this rate my truck is gonna arrive and I won't have my check in hand. I live two hours away so it's not something I can easily drive in and fix. I have an older pre approval for a higher rate from a local credit union I could use and just refinance but it seems like a lot of wasted effort. It is what it is.

Got on Ford Chat and got my Rail car#. Departed Melvindale @4:05pm LFG

My rail car is TTGX159758. I'm wondering if we are sharing the same one

Finally sat down and begged for a rail car number. Here's what they told me....we may be train buddies, but not rail car buddies. I guess our trucks might be cousins instead of brothers!

"The vehicle has been shipped from the plant via rail. The railcar number is #TTGX973661. The carrier name is Norfolk Southern Corp (Ramp 58, Melvindale, MI) with an ETA between 1/20- 1/26."

Got an email from Ford saying it was built and had an estimated delivery between January 28 and February 3. In the tracker, it retroactively says it was built on January 12.

OMG......I awoke this morning to a "Time to Complete Your Purchase" email!!! I sat down at the PC, hoping to do as much as possible electronically, only to encounter error after error with Ford's website. Anyhow, I punted and chose "Finish at the Dealer." It allowed me to choose an appointment for TODAY in the afternoon. I haven't heard a peep from the dealer, so I'm cautiously pessimistic that I can actually pick up today, but, I am soooo verrryyyyy close........!

My truck is still in Birmingham. Should be on the next truck to Mobile. I've accepted I'll need to wait til this upcoming weekend as I'm pretty busy through the week. They did give me a super generous estimate for my trade in, which surprised me and was really cool. Shot the buy order to Parsons, hopefully they can get the check to me by Friday so I'll have everything I need. I already ordered the space noise silencer plus some black lettering for the tailgate. Found a good tint shop near me, I'll call and see if I can't get in by Saturday. Trying to have the ride looking right.
