Rear view camera image obstructed during driving

I recently had a full load of furniture in the truck bed and it prevented me from using my rear view mirror (obstructed by the furniture boxes). I turned on the camera on the center console and used this to be more aware of traffic behind me. This was very helpful in combination with the normal side view mirrors. However, the camera displays a warning text message when the vehicle is in motion, and the message is in the dead center of the screen and it remains there permanently (i.e., doesn’t time-out).

It’s better than not having the camera on at all, but it’s annoying to have the image obstructed by a safety warning message…when the message itself causes a visibility safety issue. Does anyone know a way to remove or relocate this safety warning or cause it to time-out? If not, how would I pass this on to Ford as a simple software update suggestion? Thanks.

I think it may have been set up for driving in Atlanta, where the car behind you would be clearly visible in the space below the message box.

That’s a shame. If it’s necessary at all, the warning should vanish after 30 seconds or so…or move to small text in the lower corner so it’s out of the way.

Do you know if Ford has a suggestions email or website for making enhancements to the software? This would be an easy fix.

Yeah, this is a dumb warning. I'm not even sure what it's supposed to mean, since it seems like the full view WOULD be available if there wasn't a dumb warning in the middle of it. Maybe it's saying you can't get the "full" 360* view? (Which is obvious without the warning)

Not sure, but the warning is definitely making the view LESS safe rather than more safe.

It is, bar none, the most stupid 'feature' on the truck. I've tried to figure out what weird circumstance it is trying to warn about.

It happens even on my Pro without tow tech package (no 360 camera) so if that's the "full view" it is never available, ever
