Can't replace a truck for the same price we got it for.
I were referring to used of course. New the prices make no sense even with another 7500 rebate.

I guess it would depend on what your actual spec is and what you've added since. I've seen a few SR XLT high trim like mine with 10-12k millage selling below what I paid. But I'll admit I didn't check if those were spec for spec same as mine. The used Lightnings are seemingly getting reasonable quick around here.

I don't want the thread to go off topic, but the used ones are out there at ok prices. I haven't looked specifically for Pro Power option. But in general, used Lightnings are coming up at normal prices. My neighbor got a used XLT for 60 a few weeks ago. Here's a Lariat on CL for 65.

Still too much. If i get the 7500 rebate plus 2k state rebate the truck becomes 30k.

It appears to be Part #: NL3Z14290M

I'm able to see this diagram on parts.ford.com, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to go from the base # 14289A to the actual part # NL3Z14290M. My parts guy at the dealer said he also doesn't know why they don't really make it easy to do this for owners on parts.ford.com, but once the dealer provided me the part # I could plug it in and see that the description does make sense:

Drive Motor Battery Pack Control Module Wiring Harness
Power Inverter #3. Single Phase Charger - 145"/3675MM Wheelbase.

I could try to figure out the coolant hoses this way too ,but I honestly think

I could try to figure out the coolant hoses this way too ,but I honestly think the coolant hoses can be done with normal automotive plumbing methods but will need an example vehicle to go by to know where they tee in. We need someone with this Pro Power Onboard 9.6kW to be able to reference, take pics, have their bed pulled off :). Preferably a Pro or XLT.

I'm guessing the 7.2kW, 240V inverter is referred to as "Power Inverter #3", so I searched this and found this:

Part #: NL3Z7F120A

Do you think this is the inverter.

So, mr2urbo004 and I have been exploring what it would take to add the 240V,7.2kW inverter to the lightning to upgrade to the "Pro Power Onboard 9.6kW"

Ref: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/7-2-progen-missing.10245/page-2

I'm curious if anyone has done this or explored it for the Lightning? The truck I've used as an AB Config reference for all the OEM mods I've done has at some point caused my APIM to think I have it when I really don't. This causes a weird display on the Pro Power screen:

Last night was the first night we've been without grid power since I've had the truck almost a year. I hooked the truck up to my house to power fridge, lights, nat-gas continuous hot water, etc. I am suddenly wanting the 240V pro power to run my AC :) Not an issue for me for heat as my furnace is nat-gas, but sleeping hot sucks. So, here is my window sticker.

Is my terminology correct here in that we should be referencing this equipment as "Pro Power Onboard Standard" and "Pro Power Onboard 9.6kW" related to the Lightning, even though we are really only adding a 7.2kW,240V inverter to upgrade to the 9.6kW? My OCD is not compatible with Ford and terminology a lot of the times. Aside from any wires or coolant hookup it looks like only 2 parts are needed for this upgrade are:

The Inverter, $1,574.05:

How much watts were you doing? Going to power the house with the 20amp using 5-20p to l14-30.
I was using, at times, most all of the 7,200 watts available, under the 30 amp 240v outlet in the bed... even tripping the truck's 'internal resetable breaker' once... I reset it and the power continued.
I tried using my 20 amp 240v mini-split air condtioner, and the fridge, freezer, house fans, tvs, and even the microwave, all at the same time, as well as turning off the mini-split and turning on the Main house 30amp 240v air conditioner system for a while - just as a test.
This is when the truck's breaker tripped - and when I realized why, it made sense - my HOT TUB had come on during that time - and even though it's on a simple 20amp 120v outlet, it was enough to 'exceed' the amperage, at least on one side of the 240v power of the truck.

Works great - it's simple. I can't believe the cost and aggravation so many are going to in order to have a 'whole house automatic' system... doesn't make sense to me... but, that's o.k.

I was able to power most of my house outlets to lights and 3 fridge and almost 90% of the house except for Microwave and AC. But it does pop the breaker on the truck once or 2 times a day using the 20amp outlet.

Anyone with a pro power that's want to take the bed out and take pictures and videos would be great. Also can write down the parts numbers. Thanks

Thanks for posting this.

You say that some prior OEM mods caused your APIM to think you had the additional 7.2kW inverter that's in trucks with the 9.6kW Pro Power On Board option. Do you think you know, or could figure out, how to convince another truck that it's equipped with that option?

Background: In order to buy a Lightning in the Pro trim, I had to buy one out of dealer inventory. The truck had been ordered by a fleet customer who didn't go through with the purchase. That meant I couldn't pick options. The only option I was positive I wanted was the 9.6kW Pro Power On Board for backup home power. Since the day I bought the truck, I've wanted to add the 7.2kW inverter and the 240V receptacle in the bed.

The dealer said they don't think Ford would allow them to install the parts to upgrade the truck, so I looked into what parts would be needed and found the same parts you did. What's stopping me from buying the parts and just trying to install them is my doubt that the truck would allow them to operate if the computers weren't instructed that the parts were installed. If I knew how to change that setting in the computer, I'd just order the parts, install them, and figure out what to do about any cooling lines or other issues once I had things taken apart.

Zsc100 did show that he can change the setting to show it.

I want to try, but I'm concerned about the truck's computers not being programed to know the parts are installed and not letting them work or producing problematic errors when they do work.

For what it's worth my dealer told me that a customer with a Super Duty ICE truck with the hyprid power train had gotten the 7.2kW inverter that is an option on that truck installed by a customizer. I also found another dealer (thousands of miles from where I live) that was advertising that upgrade to the Super Duty hybrid trucks. That modification differs from the one on the Lightning in that, on that truck, they replace the 2.4kW inverter with the 7.4kW inverter instead of adding the 7.4kW inverter & keeping the 2.4kW inverter in place.

On our it is alot easier. We will not be replacing 2.4kw but addung 7.2kw. Modifying the computer is the easy part and zsc100 can help on that. We have modify the computer to do alot of stuff already. Was hoping to find someone with a pro power to do a video and pictures that will help alot on getting it installed.

That the last thing I needed on my Pro since the dealer didnt modify my order.
